Happy Wednesday and Happy September !! It was a bit sad to say farewell to summer ....but it was a super weekend. I enjoyed the last days of the pool every day and took it all in. Labor Day was quite the party at the country club.....it was packed which always makes me happy for the club since that translates into dollars. I went up early and got mother a table in the shade so she could be part of the scene. I had a magical experience with a little girl who was 4 or 5 years old. She came up to me while I was listening to my music and started talking to me. At first I thought she was talking to someone behind me...then realized she was talking to me. I took my headphones off and talked to her. All she wanted was to tell me that all of her friends were playing in the bouncy house. I asked why she didn’t tell them to go swimming with her...and she smiled and said “OK.” Next she showed up with three friends to tell me that there was a hole in the bouncy house and she hoped they would fix it. She showed up a third time just to say hi to me. I asked her name and told her to call me Momma Kay. She said “HI Momma Kay” and ran off. I really don’t know why she chose me to be her new friend...but it warmed my heart that she felt like I was that approachable. The pool was really crowded! My friend that I was talking to in the pool asked me if I was making new friends.....and my answer was I guess I am. I thought about that little girl all night....she was so darling. It made my day! Children’s hearts are so pure....... you never know what they will do or say. I was honored she picked me !
Saturday night was fun flipping between the LSU game and the TCU game. I was a happy camper that I was watching both in the air conditioning. I am such a wimp...
Riley went to The Hamptons this weekend with friends and ran into my best friend Beast and her boyfriend. They got invited to his house before they caught the train back yesterday. How much fun!!!
It feels like Tuesday today since we started the week a day late. I loved the three day holiday and am ready to take the world on! September will bring the installation of my Arlington job and my new job in Fort Worth starting up. All so much fun!!! Have a great day and a super start to the month!!!! I am posting my favorite Instagrams from last week today since the blog was down Monday. Enjoy!
A gorgeous street in London. One of my sorority sisters lives in London....I always imagine she lives on a street like this. Love it!
Now THAT is some crazy architecture in Prague!!!!!
I don’t know where this is located.......but it reminds me of Port-au-Prince, Haiti with the brightly colored buildings.
Entrepreneurs of the future!!!!!
I love how full this room is....so cozy. I especially love the collection of mustard pots on the top shelf above the bookcases.
Now that is not nice manners........ Poor baby!
The profusion of flowers and the brilliant colors are amazing!
I loved seeing the children’s bicycles and the golf carts decorated for the Labor Day parade!
The pool was definitely hopping!!
This new word reminded me of my new little friend.
