Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Waking up to rain on Saturday was an unusual occurrence in Texas in August! Even though I loved the cooler temperature it was a bummer not getting to go to the pool. Since I only have 4 weekends to enjoy the pool before it closes I want to get every opportunity . I am sorry to the baseball fans out there.... but I am really happy there is starting to be more football news in the paper. I adore football and it is right around the corner! I am not much on the preseason NFL games because the starters really don’t play... but it is exciting to see the rookies trying their best to make the team. I need to start making a list of the ones that I have been reading about to look for them in the games.
It was so sad to pull up in the driveway and not see my Harrison’s truck this weekend. Momma has to get over it.....time for him to spread his wings in a big way! Riley will be home next week for a wedding so I will get my twins that night. Those are the moments I live for!!! Harrison will complain.... but it will be Christmas card picture opportunity that night. Good or bad it is happening that night. Hannah will help me corral him I am sure!
We had a tragic thing happen in our family over the weekend. My niece’s two year old dog Quill was bitten by a spider and died in less that a week. His paw was really swollen and they took him to the vet. His little body did not respond to any drugs.... and he became toxic. It is always tragic to lose a pet at any age... but after only 2 years it is even more tragic. My heart really goes out to my sweet niece and her boyfriend. They both had to take off work today because of their grief....... Everyone who knows me well knows that I am a huge dog person. It thrills me to get to bring Lacie Rue to work every day and Mackenzie’s Golden Layla. I told my niece that when she was ready that there was a rescue dog waiting out there for her that needs a home and to be loved. I think rescue dogs are forever grateful for the second chance at happiness.
This post did not give the location........ but what an incredible cliff setting!
