Editor’s note: Today I am in a slip dress from Anthropologie and shoes from J.Crew.
Happy Monday!! The world is waking up today after a patriotic holiday slumber! I did not have much success taking Friday off... I ended up working almost 5 hours. Oh well....I tried! The pool at Rivercrest was packed on Thursday... which made me so happy. I got mother a table in the shade and she had fun reading magazines and people watching. We ate from the buffet which was wonderful and only had a light dinner. I skipped fireworks this year... we watched 3 Downton Abby episodes in a row and I was happy as a clam. I was born in the wrong era...I could have SO lived in that time with all of the pomp and circumstance and those clothes.....I love it all. Such major excitement that the USA Ladies soccer team won their 4th title yesterday!!! I don’t like some of their anti-American sentiment.... but I am proud of the America team. One of Riley and Harrison’s classmates at Country Day used to be on the team. I just looked up the roster and sadly she is not anymore. I hope she is doing well in whatever she is doing now.
Now that the Design World is back to work... I have so much to accomplish this week. It kind of makes my head spin but I truly love to be too busy. The hard wood floors go down in my Arlington job tomorrow after planning since last fall. I am SO excited for one more piece of the puzzle to get installed. Th tile floors in the guest bath and the laundry room can go down after the wood floors. The custom tile mosaic wall that we are doing in the laundry room I am most excited to get installed!! It is all staring to happen after planning since last August. Steady as you go makes for wise decisions.
There were so many 4th of July posts this last week that I captured a lot as well as some regular ones. I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and is ready to set the world on fire this week! Have a super Monday!!!!!!!
