Editor’s note: Today I am in a dress from Lafayette 148 with shoes from J.Crew.
Happy Monday! I had such a quiet weekend..... it was SO nice! I only had one little mishap..... we went to Mi Cocina Friday night and I splurged and ordered a frozen margarita. Bad mistake!!!! I have not had sugar in 5 years and the sugar sent my body over the edge. I had to go home and take an Alka Selzter. I felt like I had eaten a whole piece of wedding cake with extra icing. Life will certainly go on if I never have another frozen margarita.... but they are on the list of one of my favorite things. Oh well.....
The heat was pretty fierce both days... but we are used to it. I really felt sorry for people on the East Coast who are not used to that kind of heat. At least the horrible heat wave is supposed to end today. I walked at 10:00 yesterday morning and almost melted!
The hardwood floors are going down tomorrow in my job in Arlington.... and the wallpaper is starting on Thursday. I am going this afternoon to move the wine refrigerator before the floors go down and to bring the wallpaper. Things are truly coming together.... all so exciting!!!!!
I go see my new potential client this afternoon. I look forward to talking to him about his vision for his home. I love a new job... and one that takes me in a new direction of design.
Late seek was so chaotic with the problems I faced... that I was not on Instagram as much. It is a little irritating that with the number of people I follow that I get more ads than pictures right now. Here are the images that caught my eye. Have a super Monday and a great start to our last full week in July. Can you believe football starts next month???????
Is this cake gorgeous or what!!!!!
Having high standards is always a good plan!
It amazes me what these Golden’s will do for their master. This is so precious!!
Such a cool black and white moment!
This post blew me away. I had no idea hat it has been 20 years since John and Carolyn Kennedy were killed. So tragic even to this day.
One of my favorite cities... Florence ,Italy. Mother and I spent a week here in 1985 when the dollar was so strong. We bough so many shoes that the shoe boxes went floor to ceiling on a wall in the hotel when we packed them. The bellman shrieked when he saw the boxes! A moment I will never forget.
Well said. It is never too late to start anew!!!!
Oh how I have a thing for banquettes!!!! I love this moment!!!
Gorgeous guest room featuring Schumacher fabrics. The pair of queen size beds makes the room so wonderful for guests to be comfortable.
Last night for dinner I had the cheese board from Winslow’s! Yummm!!!
Indeed, it is!!
