Editor’s note: My outfit today is a dress from Michael Kors and shoes from J.Crew.
Happy Monday!!! It was a big weekend in my house! My Harrison not only asked permission from his girlfriend Hannah’s parents last Wednesday for her hand in marriage.... but also asked his twin sister Riley and my mother on Saturday. Big steps towards his future!!!! Everyone gave their blessing... he already had mine. I knew he was getting very serious months ago.... and I told him she makes him very happy, comes from a wonderful family, and is very important to me...she really likes me. That is HUGE for me! I want to be included in holidays and be a wonderful and loved grandmother some day. Harrison was relieved and on cloud nine after he received all of the blessings!!!!! All of this excitement made me think about my lonely situation. I have been single for almost 4 years now. I dated a ... what I thought... wonderful man for 6 months in 2017. I turned out to be part of a woman’s dating volleyball team—- I was totally unaware that I was part of a pack of women he was dating. I hate to play sports and certainly did not want to be part of this scene. I have not put myself out there since. I have finally decided to start up the process.... after much deliberation. If any of my readers know of a good dating site I would love to hear from you. I have heard match.com is a good one. I was so hoping for love to find me on my own these last 4 years..... but I think it is time to give it a nudge. Wish me luck!!! Scared and nervous!!! There is bound to be someone out there for me!
We are fast and furiously still getting quotes for my job that is moving at lightening speed . There are a few fabrics selections still to be made... and chandeliers.... but we are really making good time. My clients suggested we take a trip to New Orleans to look for antique lighting. Poor New Orleans and surrounding parishes were beat up this weekend by Barry... I pray for their safety and that it does not turn into another Katrina. I think we will have to wait a while to visit New Orleans ... for the flooding to subside and life to hopefully get back to normal. I found several key pieces 10 years ago when I was working on their present house. It certainly would be a lot of fun to do it again!
I am invited to the party in The Hamptons again this summer..... but unfortunately we only got 2 weeks notice and it is the weekend that Riley has to get absolutely everything out of her apartment and fill in holes in the walls. I REALLY do want this deposit back since we did not get the other one back. They never gave a reason.....just kept the money on her first apartment. There will always be next year to go party down!
Here are my Instagram posts that I loved from last week. Enjoy and have a super Monday!!! It will certainly be a different one for me!!
These fields of lavender are amazingly beautiful in Provence.

Hydrangea heaven in Nantucket.
This image of a street in Lucca, Italy makes me feel peaceful and serene. When life is slow enough to run your errands on a bicycle..... life is good.
