Editor’s note: Today I am in a shirt from Ann Taylor, belt from Cole Haan, shoes from Chanel.
Happy Monday! Happy birthday to me!!!! I am 59 and looking fine today!! It is the last birthday in my 50s. Although I do not welcome the body changes going on ( that is a cruel joke!) I am happy to be celebrating another birthday. When I was 49 I kept telling people that I was about to be 50. My assistant at the time...Mallory... kept telling me to hush . I told her that I had to keep convincing myself that it was really happening to me!!!! During the rein of my 50s my twins graduated from college... I had three different assistants.....I got divorced.... moved my office...... and had cancer. I can tell you with all sincerity that I welcome the next chapter of the 60s and look forward to smooth sailing!!!!!!!! I LOVE my studio each and every day that I come to work and am so proud to meet clients and vendors here. It is the happiest thing in the world that we bring our dogs to work... it feels like a home. Harrison’s kindergarten teacher gave me the book Who Moved the Cheese ( I think that is the name!) when I was telling her about some unwanted changes going on in my life. The basic premise of the book is that you have to change and go with the flow of what is going on in your life without letting it upset you. So I say.... welcome age 59!!!!! Bring it on and let’s have a swinging time with it!!!!
Things are heating up and will start ripping out quickly at my job in Arlington. One of my jobs in Fort Worth has company coming this weekend and we are frantically trying to put a bow on things. Her new furniture is not here but the construction with be done and the new great room ready to welcome the guests coming for their daughter’s graduation. Mackenzie is still at her bachelorette weekend so I am solo today. I miss my side kick and cannot wait to hear all about it tomorrow!
Here are my Instagram posts from this week. Enjoy and wherever you are in the world....sing Happy Birthday! I bet I will hear it!!!!! Have a great day!
This is so gorgeous it just does not look real.
I love everything about this moment. I love the wallpaper... the symmetry of the prints on either side of the mirror.....the antique chairs.... and the juxtaposition of the cool casual basket under the console.
