Editor's note: Today I am wearing a dress from Theory and shoes from Coach.
Happy Tuesday!! Welcome to the beginning of Fall!!!I accomplished my main goal this weekend—— to relax. I actually did it!! Those who know me well know this is a big feat for me. My precious mother (my beloved sidekick!!) and I saw The Meg Friday night, went to Mesero Saturday night, and Winslows Sunday night. I highly recommend the movie— I don’t know why it did not get great ratings! Watching LSU play on the big stage and upset #8 Miami was thrilling!! Harrison and 18 of his fraternity brothers went to the game. Talk about FUN!!!! I I said farewell to the pool on Sunday since it rained on Labor Day. I saved getting my nails done for Sunday since there was a chance of rain. I even started my Christmas cards!! My Fair Lady was on TV and I sang to my favorite songs (which are 90% of the songs in the movie) while I was working. The clothes Audrey Hepburn wore in the movie still astound me to this day. She is SO elegant!!! I decided to take pictures of my favorite houses on my weekend walk for the blog tomorrow. I adore walking and taking everything in. Even though I am always sad when summer comes to a close.... I say Praise The Lord that vacations are over!!!!!! I need the world to go to work again so I can get things done!!
Poor Lacie Rue is having surgery to remove her back teeth today. They keep getting infected so the vet recommended pulling them. After having the biggest hot spot of the century last week and having to wear a bonnet all week—- she should be good to go after today. She will have missed 5 days of work with the holiday and her surgery.... so she will be eager to get back to work on Thursday! She is a very busy shop dog!
Here are my favorite Instagram posts from last week. Enjoy and I hope your start if Fall is wonderful.
I found this on my client’s Instagram page. I missed it when she posted it. This Gracie wallpaper was a dream install in this dining room. Beyond elegant!!! One of my all time favorite dining rooms that I have designed.
This troupe l’oeil awning is outstanding!!!!!!! Now that is a fancy mudroom!!
Wow oh wow!!!!!!!!!!! This lit staircase looks like it is going to champagne heaven!!
Oh how I adore the large doors of Paris!!!
Now those are some precious black and white woofers!!!!
I LOVE those chairs!!!
This velvet sofa and rug set out amongst the bougainvillea says instant party to me!!
Roses growing up against this front door in London. So proper and lovely.
Poor Lacie Rue! She really did a number on herself— and it happened so fast! It is almost healed now thanks to the bonnet and the strong meds. It is just Hell to get old!
I love this bedroom with the print being on the walls. What a great guest room!
I wrote a blog on this house. The fountain at the end is amazing... and that floor!
What an elegant hotel in Paris with this Pierre Frey Wallpaper and those stairs!!! Now if you stay on the fourth floor and have to walk up with your luggage..... that might change my mind!!!
Such an elegant and balanced study. Note that the fireplace is not the center of attention. Too often people get hung up on that. The chair can easily be moved on a cold day to have a fire.
Wow!!!! This stone and tile wall in Berlin is fantastic!
I love the drawings on this Instagram page.
What an incredible piece of art on the side of this building in Brooklyn.
Yes please and thank you to this outdoor room. Pretty in every way. Farewell summer. See you next year!!!!!
Crack me up!!!
My dinner last night was salmon on top of fresh spinach.
