Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a blouse from Ann Taylor, skirt from Nanette Leopore, shoes from Coach, and belt from Henry Bendel.
Happy Tuesday! Well.... maybe today will be the last of the 100 degree days for a bit. Wouldn’t that be lovely!!!! If we truly get rain for a few days that would be even better!!! Poor Fort Worth is starting to look dry and brown... we could really use a break!! I am so excited to show my client today the direction I am going on my new job. We have fabrics, tile, and carpet to show today. Before I go gangbusters on a job I like to see if I am hitting on all cylinders with what the client wants. Then I really dig deep and fine tune all of the details. I love the coloration they want — the inspiration comes from their artwork that they love. This job will be really fun to transform their already lovely home with a huge update. There are many details to iron out before we start ripping out the kitchen, master bath, family room, and laundry room. I always get so excited when selections are made and I can start to really plan each room.
I picked up a copy of Fort Worth Home on Saturday and loved the article on a home near TCU. The couple lived in the house that was existing for a year then decided to tear it down and build a home to accommodate their 4 kids, a dog, a cat, and a bearded dragon. Designer Mary Lee Proctor helped the couple infuse their new home with fun color that reflected their personalities. Since I am attracted to color nether article spoke to me. Enjoy and have a Super Tuesday!
What a jewel box of a room!!! It took ten coats of paint to get the room just right. The carousel horse that you can see in the far left is from Walt Disney. The home owner’s grandfather designed horses for Disney. That is quite a story!!!! The lavender against the green is luscious.
Gorgeous doors opening to the bar. I loose the framed mirrors on the interior of the doors. What a cleaver idea to have the bar open to the entry hall for entertaining!
Beautiful saturated blue in the bar. The blue is gorgeous against the burned floors.
Love, love ,love the fabric on the backs of the dining chairs!!!! The explosion of pink in the dining room is wonderful next to the black and white marble entry floor. The gold ceiling makes the room ever mote special.
This would be very little girl’s dream to have a bedroom like this!!!!!!! The fairy-tale house painted like Mackenzie-Childs with the custom bunk is beyond precious!!!!!
Gorgeous master gleaming with silver and gold. The cool mirrored, aged French doors we’re purchased in Roundtop before they had a home. I always say.... if something really speaks to you... buy it!!! I will find a home. Love the free standing tub nestled up against the wall so that the faucet can be mounted on the wall in the middle.
Such an incredible outdoor living space. There was extensive work done in the “jungle” of the former backyard. After leveling the yard they put in a pool and created this fabulous outdoor covered dining area. The bar stools are wonderful!!!!
Another view of the backyard. This home truly is designed for happy family living and entertaining !!!!

For dinner last night we had leftover rosemary chicken, legtover clam chowder from Michael's, and leftover lettuce wedge from Winslow's Easy & breezy!
I got up a little bit earlier today because of my big meeting. I've never seen the light shine into the entry hall since I have lived here. It was breath taking!
