Editor's note: Today I am wearing a dress from JCrew and shoes from Coach.
Happy Wednesday!! Happy Hump day!!! Second Wednesday of August... can you believe??? It will only be a few weeks more before football starts up. I LOVE football— so that pleases me to no end. The excitement of the fall is always wonderful. I am not sure I am ready to give up the pool just yet... and we are supposed to get rain all weekend...so we will lose this one as far as sunbathing goes. I only stay out for an hour... but a little tan makes me feel so good. My scars from my skin cancer removal are healing so well.... it is amazing. Robert Anderson has a God given talent for plastic surgery. I can already see the results. Our meeting went great presenting fabrics, tiles, carpets, and schemes yesterday. Now it is full steam ahead in completing the rooms. I think we have narrowed down the appliances... so once all quotes are in we will go man go! I have Adison tying a bow on what she has worked on before she leaves me next week. Hopefully I will have time today to gather accessories for my bookcase job that I got last week. She is really ready to stop looking at unfinished bookshelves in the family and living room!!!!
The article today comes from the new issue of Elle Decor. Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin —-an award-winning Australian couple who run the production company Bazmark—-transform a town home in the Stuyvesant Park neighborhood in New York. They moved from Sydney to New York when they were working onThe Great Gatsby in 2013. I loved the quote in the article—“Dream in Paris, have fun in London, work in Los Angeles, Sydney is home, but live in New York.” This townhouse is glamorous like the sets they create. Enjoy and have a super “hump”day!
Wow !! This staircase is a stunning!!!! I love all of the levels and how you can see all the way down to the first floor.

Glorious statement of gray, white, and gold. The marble mantel is incredible! The antique mirror......one of my all time favorite things to place over a mantel......is gorgeous. And love the touches of gold bouncing all around the room. The shape of the sofas are so sexy.
It is crazy that this is the same staircase—- it looks totally different painted with Benjamin Moore’s Space Black.and with the gray wallpaper! The wallpaper if from Martin’s own line Mokum—- which I have sold before!

This is the first floor’s “green room.” The fabrics are all Mokum. The mantel is original to the house... and is oh so glorious! What drama!

This wallpaper is outstanding!! What a happy room to wake up to! Once again the wallpaper and fabrics are from Mokum. Love, love the faux bamboo bed.
A wonderful master bedroom moment with the vintage chairs in front of the original carved mantel.
This wallpaper—-also from Mokum—-makes my heart sing big!!!!!! The sink is from Toledo Architectural Artifacts. I love the little table in between the sink and the commode. Perfect spot for accessories. What a special home designed by such a talented couple who obviously love their work!

What a great quote!

I always include a picture of my dinner, but today I thought I would include my breakfast. This is how I start my day everyday. Puts me in a good mood and gets me ready to take on the day.

I love this song!
