Happy Monday!! Saturday morning was more that wonderful sleeping with the sound of the rain on our metal roof. There is something so comforting about it raining hard and being inside listening. It was REALLY coming down at 3:00 in the morning— so loud that it woke me up! I used the rainy day opportunity to get something done in the house that I have been putting off for a year. Yes— a year. Last summer I moved out of the house I had lived in since 1989 and Harrison moved back from LSU. At the time I made as much sense as I could of all of the “stuff” that landed here.. and then I stopped. Since last summer more “stuff” has piled up in the downstairs room that we nicknamed “ The armory room” because of Harrison’s hunting equipment and the framed photos of my stepfather hunting bears in Alaska. This room was Harrison’s nest to watch tv and hang out. The room also serves as our wrap room. It had become a disaster zone. I spent 3 hours and hauled off three large trash bags to my dumpster at work... and took a LOT of shopping bags to K Flories antiques( she likes to reuse them.) It is almost embarrassing how many shopping bags we collect during the year! I finally put all of Harrison’s hunting gear in a closet in the garage. It felt SO good to clean this area and make it look like civilized human beings live here. I was yawning in the movie Saturday night—- we went to see Mission Impossible —- but I was a happy camper that I had performed my own mission impossible! The movie was fast paced and good— a little hard to follow the plot but well worth the price of admission. I missed getting to go to the pool— but I love the sense of accomplishment that comes with getting things done. I am ready to go to work today and tackle the week ahead. Monday is the day full of possibilities!
Here are my Instagram picks from last week. Enjoy the trip around the world with these posts and have a super Monday!
