Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a silk blouse from Theory, skirt from Ann Taylor, and shoes from Valentino.
Happy Monday!! Well...having a second round of vacation in one week has really thrown me off. I have been waking up having to really think about what day to is!! The rain that was supposed to sock in for many days happened briefly on Friday .... and is now just spotty enough to get my clean car dirty! At least the temperatures are lower. I’ll take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday!!!! But it is Texas— so the 100 degree days are returning at the end of the week. Enjoy the 90s while we can.I get to go to a client’s house today that I have not seen since the 90s. I helped this couple while I worked at The Market and remember selling them a gorgeous pair of antique stone statues for their pool area. Because I have a photographic memory I remember their property. It is amazing how everyone has different talents. My photographic memory is an incredible tool in my work. Please don’t ask me to read serious books or to analyze world events. Let me stay in my world of design where I am the most happy!!! I am so fortunate that I get to do what I love every day...and bring my Lacie Rue to work. One of my clients who came into my studio for a meeting on Friday said she loves coming to see me because it is like going to someone’s home. That comment thrilled me!!! My studio is filled with antiques I have collected since I was 22 years old... and it is a second “day” home to me. Dreams do come true if you keep pursuing them. My dream to have my own design studio on Camp Bowie finally came true in June of 2017. I am still loving it every day!!
Here are the non-4th of July posts that I loved last week. Not that I didn’t like the 4th of July posts! I wrote a blog on them! Have a super Monday and enjoy.
