Editor's note: Today I am wearing a blouse and skirt from Ann Taylor, a vintage belt, and shoes from Jimmy Choo.
Happy Friday! Today is the day I get my stitches out and truly get to see the work of Dr. Robert Anderson! I know the lines will be pronounced for a while... but I have followed every direction (including no alcohol since Monday the 9th!!) and am hoping to have the scars fade with time. Today is one of those days that I am praying everything works like clockwork. I made my rug delivery this morning... even though they were late. I have a 12:30, a 2:45, and a 3:30. Mackenzie went on my photo shoot this morning because of my oh so tight day. I cannot wait to see his work... one of my favorite photographers. Today we are shooting for an ad. We are getting the whole house done later which will be an all day event. It is quite fascinating watching these artists do their work— there are so many tricks to the lighting. I am going to see the feel good movie Momma Mia! Here We Go Again this Saturday.... I have been waiting for it to come out. I loved the first movie..can’t wait for this one! With this horrible heat anything indoors is a bonus!!
The article today comes from an online Veranda article. It is on Karl Lagerfeld’s former Villa in Germany that is up for sale. It was originally built in the 1920s for shipping magnet Herrmann Witte. It’s original name was Villa Schuler and Lagerfeld later changed the name to Villa Jako in honor of his long time partner Jacques de Bascher. The home resembles a Roman Villa... and of course is fabulous. Enjoy on this hot Friday in July and have a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful staircase going up to the grand structure. The multiple columns give it the Roman flavor. I love the statues..... one in a fountain in the forefront and two on the rooftop on either side.
A section of the grand living room that spans the entire length of the property. The villa is 12,000 square feet. What an incredible tapestry at the end of the room. Love the wood framed squared off chairs and the long chaise.
This is the first floor gallery that serves as the library. WOW!!!!!! Stunning center table.
Oh so stunning room!!!!!! That ceiling is a true work of art!!!! The Venetian chandelier has an incredible shape. The columns on the wall truly make you feel like you are in Rome. Gorgeous piece of art behind the sofa.
Yes please and thank you to this bathroom!!!!! I love the mosaic insert in the marble floor. The oval free floating vanity is spectacular. The draperies look like tool——so whispy.
Another view of the grand living room. Love, love the marble door surround. The house is for sale for 10 million Euros......any takers???????????
