Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a dress from Gianni Bini and shoes from Jimmy Choo.
Happy Monday! It was a hot weekend but not as hot as expected. I beat the heat by walking in the morning.. and actually enjoyed the morning light. I love the shadows created in the morning when the day is new. Just like Mondays...I adore mornings because the day is ahead of me full of possibilities. I thank God each and every morning for blessing me with another day and try to make every day have meaning. Sundays now include a trip to the pool which I absolutely love. Today I am taking the time off work to have lunch with my cousin Shelley and my uncle. My uncle Blair is hanging on but has slowed down considerably. Since I have clients out of town I am taking the opportunity to savor family. Mother and I are meeting them at Cafe Pacific in Highland Park Village. That restaurant has been there since I lived in Dallas from 1983-1987. I think it has had it’s ups and downs.... but it certainly is fine now. The interiors make me feel like I am in New York. Since I do not eat much food the interiors of a restaurant are 75% of the reason I am there. Even the ladies room feels like a powder room in a house.
Here is my best of the best from last week on Instagram. Enjoy and have a fabulous Monday!
This orange and pink room sends me to the moon!!! I LOVE it!!!
This geometric wood floor is truly a work of art.
So many beds right now in the world of design are only fabric headboards. This faux bamboo four-poster bed with all of it’s draped finery is so beautiful and romantic.
So many wonderful features in this room! I live the corner banquette creating it’s own little conversation moment. The wallpaper is stunning— and note the brackets placed gracefully in the curves of the trees. I have never done a circular piece like this in then middle of a living room... only in an entry hall. I LOVE this idea!!!
This is so precious —— truly warms my heart.
Now... I want to go to this pink restaurant!!! I wouldn’t care if I only ate lettuce in this atmosphere!!!!!
Oh how I long to have hydrangeas in my yard. I am going to figure out the perfect placement. They are my favorite!!!
This is beyond stunning.
What a storybook... all American house! And including my favorite hydrangeas!!!
Another incredible garden. These sculptured gardens take so much time to maintain... but how glorious.
What a precious and elegant nursery!!!!!
This old Southern house in Charleston exudes Southern charm.
The red door... the thatched roof... the red gate. Love it!
Good morning Greece!!!! Another bucket list!!!! My only issue with Greece is riding a donkey........ don’t know about that........
An architectural masterpiece. Stunning moment in Sicily.
Chateaux de Beamesnil in Normandy. I can never get enough of buildings like this. So many incredible details to take in.
Stunning entrance in London with the wisteria climbing up the wall.
This baby is ready for an adventure!
Flowering trees and bicycles in Nantucket. Wonderful.
A moment in Monmartre in Paris. I love how hilly it is in this section of Paris and the view.
Is this a precious moment or what!!!
Yes please to this swimming pool with the flowers and sculptures jetting out onto the pool. And that umbrella!!!!! Love it!!!!
I love this silly quote!!
Last night for dinner at Malai Kitchen I had their delicious tuna tar tar!
