Editor's note: Today I am wearing a blouse and skirt from Ann Taylor, belt from Cole Haan, and shoes form Adrienne Vittadini.
Happy Monday! What an exciting weekend! My Riley came home on Friday night... my assistant Mackenzie’s best friend Hannah got engaged on Saturday... The Royal Wedding.... and The Preakness! Huge weekend!!!! Riley attended a sorority sister’s wedding in Dallas on Saturday.... that bride will forever be able to say she married the same day as Prince Harry. I did not wake up at the crack of dawn to watch the Royal Wedding... I got up at 7:00 and taped it. Stupid me for not taping it the night before. I missed some of the ceremony but have seen a lot on YouTube. I must say my first impression of her dress was that it was terribly boring. I later heard it was designed by The House of Givenchy and they searched for a special silk that had a dull nap. The veil was incredible and had hand embroidered flowers that had special meaning to England. I missed the sermon given by the Most Reve. Michael Curry who is the Chicago born Bishop of The Episcopal Church. It made me giggle that his sermon made Zara Tindall— a granddaughter of the Queen— almost fall out of her chair. It was a glorious day in England and people all over the world watched the event. I am veering from my norm this week and doing my blog today just on the Instagram posts of the royal wedding. I follow so many people around the world— that some of the posts were not in English but the picture spoke a thousand words. I am hoping that some of the posts I am featuring are new to my readers. But if not..... they all are of an incredible wedding that the world will never forget.
Enjoy the magic and have a fabulous Monday!
The children in the wedding were beyond adorable!!!! This scene of Meghan Markle entering the St. George's Chapel is stunning.
I would love to know how these lucky people got to be right outside the steps.
Not a great quality of picture..... but a touching moment.
Meghan walked down the aisle by herself and was greeted halfway down by Prince Charles. Some say it is because she is a feminist... some say it is because her father was not there. In any case it certainly made a statement.
Beautiful close up.
You can see details of her veil in this sweet photo.
Details of the jewelry she wore. Amazing.
George and Amal Clooney were among the star studded guest list.
I love this shot from above—- so magical.
The whole city was in wedding mode. Spectacular!!
Davis Beckham——- so elegantly dressed.
I love this picture!
Beautifully captured of Meghan walking down the aisle.
The gilded plateau and urns holding the wedding cake. Amazing!!! I am assuming this is from The Royal Wedding..... if not.... it is fit for royalty.
Princess Charlotte is a pistol!!
Precious..... precious...... precious!!!!!
Cool aerial view!
The world needs more love.
What a darling picture. I am sure Prince Harry held his mother close to his heart yesterday.
Some of the flowers in the bouquet came from Princess Diana.s garden. Harry picked them himself......So moving.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This dress sent me to the moon!!!! Stunning!!!!
Another precious picture of Diana and Harry. She was quite the lady.
It’s Monday! Go for it!!
My dinner last night was a Jack salad at Fixe. Very delicious!
Such a great song!!!
