Editor's note: Today I am wearing a white sweater from Ann Taylor, skirt from Anthropologie, belt from Cole Haan, and kitten heels from Ann Taylor.
Happy Monday!! The day after the Super Bowl—- what a show!! I am not an Eagles fan— but they were clearly superior. That trick play in the first half where Nick Foles scored a touchdown I think will go down in the history books. I read that Justin Timberlake’s performance was not great because of the Prince tribute—— but I beg to differ. I thought it was one of the best halftime performances in my adult life. I was dancing in my seat on the sofa! My favorite commercial was the spoof on Dirty Dancing—- that cracked me up!!
The thing that makes me sad after the Super Bowl is that we have to wait until next August to watch more football. Forgive me if I am insulting some of my readers.... but I do not care much about baseball and basketball. Even though my Harrison played basketball in school... I have never grown to love it as a sport like I do football. I will say that the way TCU is playing has me excited for their team. What an incredible win they had over K State and West Virginia.... and oh how sad Saturday was against Texas Tech. I still fell that coach Dixon is going to take TCU to great heights in the future. Look at the sell out crowds that are already showing up in the beautiful new arena. Even though I went to Tulane.... my Riley was third generation to go to TCU—so I have purple running through my veins!!! Only two more days until I get to install my large job. So much planning to make sure everything is perfect!! My job as a designer does not stop in planning and selling furniture and draperies for a home. There is so much that goes on behind the scene that it would make most people’s head swim. But I am the queen at multi tasking. Even though my seven years at Bloomingdales did not include anything having to do with the home.... what I learned in the buying office and the sense of urgency that I learned was worth two graduate schools. It was sink or swim—- and I made sure that I swam FAST!!!!!!!
I have been collecting instagram posts all week. So instead of Monday’s blog being my weekend pics— I think it will be from now on my week’s pics. I look at it often during the day and always screen shot what I love. So here is what I loved and what inspired me last week. Have a super Monday and a fabulous week!!
Oh this garden!! Yes please and 5 times on Sunday!!!
I have been following Allison for some time now. I adore her work! I could own this in a nano second.
I loved this whole setting. Love the floor... love those green bar stools... love the design of the front of the bar. Beautiful.
This bathroom reminds me of my roommate in college’s guest bath in Port au Prince, Haiti. Her tub was sunken and there was a large window next to the tub that looked out on a long wall of orchids. It was spectacular!
This looks like a beautiful dream.
Stunning wall paper and draperies!!!!!!
What a sumptuous room in every way. There are so many details that I love... I don’t know where to start. Incredible job Juan Pablo Molyneaux.
The bamboo in this setting is stunning. This garden setting is in Shanghai.
I met Chris Goddard on the Lee Jofa trip that I won for being top in sales in the USA last January. He became my best friend on the trip in about 3 minutes. A talented man who I love to be around. What a great quote!
This made me cry.
I have been staying at the Yale club for over 25 years when I go to New York. I will be on a mission next time to find this bathroom!!!!!!
Oh how I love color and always get so excited when my clients let me go wild with it!! This room is stunning.
The wall paper... the draperies... and that touch of blush. So beautiful.
Another grand master with that little touch of blush amidst the pale backdrop.
This painting makes my heart sing big!
Oh how I love a room full of antiques. The patina that antiques bring to a room is hard to duplicate.
Do you remember holding hands with your best friend?? Priceless.
The front door to the Hydek house in San Miguel. How magical.
The beauty of Amsterdam.
My friend Anne Marie who is Pete Rozelle’s daughter attending the Super Bowl. I am sure the whole weekend has been fantastic!
Sorry for the poor picture of the paper taken with phone— but this picture warmed my heart taken with his little girl. I texted friends and family this morning—-Never give up!!!!!!
This is so true!!
For dinner last night I made homemade chili. It was rare occasion because of the Super Bowl that I ate in front of the tv! I made the chili with the vennison from Harrison's deer...it was delicious!!!
