Happy Friday!!! It’s cold and raining.... but I am so happy today after the Design Awards party last night!!!! I was a finalist in two categories..... Best Dining Room and Best Living Space....with Fort Worth Home Magazine. I was honored to be chosen as a finalist in two categories to begin with.....and then I won both!!!! This is the second year of this design contest....I won last year for Best Master Bedroom. The awards party for both years has been at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams store. I was surprised that this year was more crowded than last year... and last year the store had just opened so there were curious people to see the store. I am happy for Forth Worth Magazine that the Design Awards Celebration has attracted a lot of people! The food was from the restaurant Fixe Southern House and the wine from Lost Oak winery. All was divine and it was an elegant party!!!!! If you have not read this magazine...it is a really good read. The executive editor Brian Kendall announced the winners last night. The judges were Rebecca Boles...Assistant Dean of the College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs at UTA ; Grace Mitchell ....Interior Designer, television star and blogger behind A Storied Style ; Lisa Teakell..... Incoming chair American Society of Interior designers Fort Worth Design Community. I am honored that these fine women thought my work was so beautiful!!!!! Enjoy the pictures of the party....Go Cowboys on Sunday....and have a magical Christmas weekend!!!
I wore a vintage Ungaro silk blouse that was my mother’s. My pants are by Alice and Olivia and shoes Prada. I felt beautiful in this elegant blouse!!!
The food was incredible. The trout appetizer , steak tartar, and deviled eggs I will dream about!
The store sparkled!!
Mackenzie had me posing in various spots. The color of this sectional is divine!!
You can see the twinkle lights on all of the trees outside in this picture. The shopping center Clearfork looked like a fairy land!
