Editor’s note: Today I am wearing a top from Chico’s, sweater from Marc Jacobs, skort from Current Air, and shoes from J.Crew.
Happy Wednesday! Oh my goodness.... I have worn so many different hats already this week it feels like Friday!!! Monday we covered so much ground taking care of different clients in the studio and at their homes. Yesterday I fulfilled a promise to do my client’s house for Christmas because the home is brand new ( I just installed at the beginning of the year.) I have retired from Christmas decorating but promised that I would do it once so someone else could come behind me in years to come and install it back like I had done. So not only was yesterday physical... but my mind was twirling all day where to place the new Christmas that we had purchased and trying to meld in some of her old Christmas. It was a big success.......but man oh man was I one tired puppy last night. I think I could have gone to bed at 7:00. If it was not for Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer on tv I think I would have passed out. Rudolph is one of my favorite movies.... so I was singing along with all of the songs. I am so sentimental at Christmas.....I must watch all of my favorite movies for the season to be complete. Now I have seen It’s a Wonderful Life and Rudolph.....so I have about 4 more to go. I was in Arlington at a client’s house this morning fixing a blind problem and presenting outdoor plans....and went to Dallas afterwards to pick up some floral arrangements .... all before 12:30. It’s going to be another crazy day....but Tis the Season!!!!!
The article today we found online with Southern Home. This precious 1937 Colonial Revival home in Atlanta is full of warmth and beautifully appointed by the designer Beth Ervin who happens to be the owner with her husband Jeff. The custom gate with the white picked fence is dreamy. Enjoy this home decked for the holidays and have a super day! Two more days until December!!!
Oh this fence!!!! I always dreamed of having a fence like this when I first git married. I LOVE it!!!!
I love the real greenery cascading down the wooden staircase with the acorns and pine cones. The antique buffet and the antique pair of chairs are perfect to set the tone of the house.
Such a warm and wonderful room. I love the detail on the fireplace which I imagine is original to the house. The prints are commanding above the sofa. The Hermes blanket draped across the ottoman covered in a hide adds great detail.
What a fabulous huge window above the sink!~!~! I would love to have fresh air in my kitchen while I worked!!!
There is so much to love about this dining area. First.... as I have said many times before... I have a thing for banquettes! This one makes the corner so cozy and adds seating . The green glazed French pottery displayed on the wall is part of Beth’s beloved collection. The checkerboard-patterned floors are hand painted.
This shiplap-clad bar has so much attitude!!!! I love the walls and love the opening!!!!
Love, love , love the draperies in this bedroom!! The article did not say who they were from.... it just listed the favorite fabrics from Rose Tarlow and Colefax and Fowler. The room is so quiet with this soft touch of blue. Just lovely!! The wife and designer Beth bought this house when it came on the market without her husband even seeing it. I can see why her husband Jeff trusted her opinion......it is so darling!!!!!
