Editor's Note: Today I am wearing plaid top by J.Crew, shorts from Ann Taylor, and Paul Mayer flats.
Happy Wednesday! It's hump day--our 3rd in August. My this month is flying by too fast! This will be another Dallas day for me--solo while Michelle is in Greece. I would love to be a fly on the wall--I am sure she and her family are having a fabulous time! I loved the article that I am featuring today out of Traditional Home. It features a Florida Home remolded by the former CEO of Dunkin Donuts. The couple Jack + Sharon Luther had built 10 homes along the East Coast during their 50 years of marriage--Congratulations on that milestone! But this was their first remold. Maybe they saved the best for last--because this is fabulous. Enjoy and have a super day!
Jack + Sharon Luther laughing on a cool bench. So wonderful that they still look so in love after 50 years of marriage.
Love these over-sized chairs from Ralph Lauren. The drapery fabric is so Floridan and fresh.
Beautiful two story entrance. One of my favorite silouettos of benches surround the round entry table.
The turquoise and blue fabric from Quadrille adds such a punch to the room. Perfect coloration and feel for a home in Florida family room. The colors mimic the ocean--pulling the outside in.
I love so many elements in this dining room. The old mirrored doors with the mirrors create art in themselves. The slip covered chairs are perfect for a casual + comfortable dining setting. And that chandelier--Fabulous!!!
Super painting by Harry Hutchinson lives above the chest. What a perfect subject matter for the beach!
Easy, breezy but casually elegant living area. The shape of the Ralph Lauren chairs is so sexy and mimicked in the curvy gold based cocktail table. I love how they installed the piece of art next to the staircase and over-scaled ginger jars. The corner creates its own "moment." Using four chairs facing one another is one of my favorite things to do in a living room--makes for such a great conversation.
Wow--this pool area! The checkerboard pavers were seen and copied out of a magazine--love it! The architecture of the house--is striped awning--the over-scaled chairs--great outdoor dining--perfection.
WHAT A VIEW!!!!! I wish I was here right now!
Of course there needed to be a picture eating donuts!!
Donuts and Colombian coffee burlap bags give homage to a fabulous career.
Love the all white kitchen featuring such a dramatic vent a hood. All white with touches of wood--so fresh! Great pendants over the island!
Look at that headboard!! I love doing large upholstered headboards for a bed. The blue and white scheme--always the right answer!
I love the pop of salmon in this room!
Love this powder bathroom. The wallpaper is so fun and bright! Perfect for the beach setting!
Such a lovely and clean Master Bedroom. One of my favorite style of upholstered head boards with the small wings on the side. Love, love the beaded chandelier!
Elegant landing with a spectacular sky light!
Yes please to this bath tub with a view of the beach. The sheers on the window puddling ever so slightly are so romantic!
Another elegant bedroom with white and seaglass colored bedding and rug. The beaded chandelier over the seating at the end of the room adds to the romance of the room. The large palm leaf wallpaper from Thibaut is dramatic and quiet at the same time.
