Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a silk blouse by Joie, Anthropology skirt, and J.Crew flats.
Happy Tuesday everyone! The "cool front" that apparently cooled us down under the 100 degree mark is oh so welcoming! I am off to my Lake project today that has been in the works for almost 2 years. The wallpaper is finally starting to be installed today. Cannot wait to give sneak peaks of that--the wallpaper we used is beyond fabulous if I do say so myself! We are placing sconces today and finalizing mirrors. It's all in the details! Today I am featuring a French Provence home in Irvine, California. The couple got there inspiration from the Chateau des Alpilles. Builder and architectural designer Rob Glass did a masterful job of making the home feel like it was plucked out of the hills of Provence and placed in California. The home is oh so lovely--enjoy this read. Have a super day!
I would love to sit out on this veranda and have a cocktail after a long day!
Love love this moment with the antique stone console and art.
This home is full of reclaimed materials--Dalle de Bourgogne stone, antique flooring, hand-carved doors, 19th century limestone fireplaces, and vintage door hardware. I adore it when I get to incorporate antique elements in a new build or a remold. The subtle tones with touches of blue are such a lovely palette against these antique features in this great room.
Love the tassel chandelier from Paul Ferrante in the dining room. I love Paul Ferrante's line--I have sold many of his chandeliers. I have also placed an antique chandelier in the same design from Country French Interiors in Dallas. What a dramatic large groin-vaulted ceiling--fabulous! The antique carved doors lead to the wine cellar. You know if you read my blog that I have a thing about doors. These interesting and unique doors add so much to the room--like a piece of art.
A purely French kitchen! I love the limestone walls and Parefeuille floors. The gesso-finished cabinets are so beautiful against the limestone.
Another huge love of mine is antique clocks. I love them anywhere in a house! This Gustavian grandfather clock is so regal in this office. Love love the blue!
Such a beautiful exterior inspired by the Chateau des Alpilles in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France. So romantic!
Such colors and the stunning ceiling makes this master bath perfect!
This hallway is clock full of reclaimed materials--the limestone, beams, and French doors. So lovely!
Stunning antique mantel on the pool terrace. Truly sets the whole area apart from the ordinary.
Such a lovely, refined master bedroom. Beautiful cornice treatment to the draperies--so graceful. Gorgeous Cowtan & Taut fabric drapery panels tie on the iron bed are romantic and give a romantic feeling to the room. The palette is so soothing--love the whole effect! Another beautiful Paul Ferrante chandelier.
