Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a dress by Rebecca Taylor and Nine West kitten heels.
Happy Wednesday. It's hump day! Yesterday Michelle and I had a super Dallas Day--had so much fun designing and coloring decorative tiles at Ann Sacks for a pool, fountain wall, and cabana. I even colored in the designs with colored pencils to show how the design would turn out--I felt like I was back in art class! My daughter Riley got a promotion on her one year anniversary--so proud and excited for her!! July 18th 2017 was a big day in the Genua family!! Today I am featuring an apartment in the Upper East Side of Manhattan as seen in the May-June issue of Veranda. Designer Nick Olsen started with bold fabulous colors in one room and then was given the go ahead to transform the entire apartment while the couple was at their second home in California. The explosion of color is magnificent! Have a great day!
What a fabulous living room full of color! The walls are made up of a metallic wallpaper and the gorgeous deep purple velvet is from Holland & Sherry. The Missoni chevron pattern on the two chairs adds such a sparkle to the room. I love many aspects of this room but especially the Willem de Kooning piece of art on the far left. What a treasure!
Not only are these beautiful yellow dining chairs gorgeous but only one is the original vintage Maison Jansen owned by the clients. Olsen had the others seven duplicated. What a feat! I can not tell the difference! The screen in the corner is covered in Fromental wallpaper which is always gorgeous! Beautiful unique buffet! Stunning room!
If you have ever been in New York apartments you will know that having an entry hall is true luxury. What stunning floors and geometric wallpaper! The two black doors frame the beautiful console.
This was the original room that Olsen designed for the couple. It was a storage room transformed into a glamorous den. It is now one of the favorite rooms of the house and I can now see why!
Another luxury in a New York apartment to have such a large master bedroom that you have a large sitting area. Love love this sapphire blue sofa next to the orange chairs. What a delightful color palette to wake up to everyday! On the far left is a piece of art by Pablo Picasso. Another treasure!
Stunning canopy bed and equally stunning drapery treatment. Olsen used my favorite trick to paint the ceiling blue. I think it make it looks like sky! What a gorgeous apartment. Job well done!

I try to be grateful for every day!
Dinner last night was at Capital Grille and I am sorry that I forgot to take a picture. My steak was delicious as was the spinach.
One of my favorite songs from Uncle Kracker.
