Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a dress by Don Caster, shoes by Beverly Feldman, and a belt I found in New York. My necklace is from a local vendor who sells at Antique Row in Dallas.
Happy Tuesday everyone! Michelle and I get the infinite pleasure of having two Dallas days this week. Today is the first day working on three new jobs that we have secured in the past two weeks. New work always gets my creative juices flowing in a big way. I am real excited about sourcing today in the Big D. We had a visit from one of my favorite clients yesterday---I have a lot of favorite clients--who came to see our new studio. She said it was a true reflection of my and my work which made me feel so good. I also had an officer in the Edward Jones office two doors down from me--stop in yesterday to introduce himself. He said he was so happy that I was here and he loved looking in my office and could tell that I was really good at what I did. I truly warmed my heart! Today I am featuring a home out of Southern Home magazine that is located in Seaside, FL. I have not subscribed to Southern Home yet but have bought it twice and truly enjoyed it! I have decided that I am going to subscribe. It is very well done! Have a fabulous day everyone! I know I am going to have fun today with fabrics and antiques in Dallas. Have I mentioned lately that I love my job!
This newly designed front porch of this gorgeous Southern home. Designer Kyle Palmer ran into architect Leo Casas while ordering coffee in Florida. The two had worked together earlier in their careers in Houston and had not seen each other in 10 years. They reconnected and worked on this fabulous project together! I adore these fat heavy columns and the beautiful lighting on the porch. So elegant!
Beautiful living room! Kyle Palmer wanted the house to feel easy and fresh for a second home at the beach. I love the soft palette in the room. I have a thing about window seats. Notice the one on the middle to the right of the picture with the built in bookcase and the rolled pillows. What a precious moment!
Another view of the living room looking on to the dining room. Architect Leo Casas knocked out some walls to make the rooms feel bigger and more user friendly. The article does not mention it but I would bet that this white sofa has a Crypton finish on the fabric. If you are not familiar with this it is a miracle chemical that makes the fabric impervious to liquid. It has truly revolutionized the fabric industry and allows white fabrics to be used in a user friendly way!
Love love this dining room! I have never seen dining room chairs with a cain back like that. Just gorgeous! Love the slip covers on the seats and the beautiful host and hostess chairs with the trim design on the back.
Great easy breezy kitchen! I am now a big fan of having a large island with counter seats instead of bar seats as shown here. It gives such a magnificent surface to serve off of.
Love this space with the curved opening. I love having a little nook like this and making it useful.
Great outdoor seating! Love the huge fireplace for the cool winter nights in Florida. Believe it or not it does get cold there!
Another view! Love the lattice work at the end. So pretty!
Another family room utilized in the space so well by having the sectional in the corner. So comfy, cozy and light-hearted!
Great bar! Love the light fixture and the roman shades.
This is the carriage house used by guest. I wish I knew this family because I would love to stay here! So beautiful and cozy!
One of the kids bedrooms. Great headboard and chevron stripe draperies. The chandelier adds a spark of elegance to the room.
Another kids room also with a great chandelier and draperies. I don't understand the trend of not having draperies in the room. I think they allow so much elegance to a room and allow the room to be closed off and dark for late sleeping. I am a huge fan of draperies!
Beautiful Master bedroom! Love the mixture of the stripes and the print on the draperies. The color palette that runs throughout this house with the seafoam green, cream, and white is so pretty and beautiful! It truly makes you want to say ahhh!
Great master bath and I adore that floor! Oh my goodness! Love love!

I bought tenderloin steaks on Saturday at Costco that Harrison grilled for us. I had leftover marchand de vin sauce that I had frozen that we had to put on top. Served with steamed brussels sprouts. Delicious!
I love all music by Bread! This song is so sweet and tender!
