Editor's Note: Today in New York I am wearing a Carven dress and Valentino shoes.
Happy Wednesday everyone! It is hump day. I am on my way to New York City for shopping and eating with my mother and my daughter Riley. Riley is so excited to have us come and has all the restaurants planned for our trip. I have been taking Riley to New York with me and my mother on our annual trip since she was 5 and now she lives there. She is truly excelled at her job and has loved living in the city. I am so proud of her. I asked if she wanted to stay with us at the Yale Club in a suite while we are there and she said absolutely. Who wouldn't want room and maid service for a few days?! Of course there are the Yale Club bar snacks that we bring up to our room in the afternoon. I get to stay at the Yale Club because my best friend who I call Beast went to Yale. We have been staying there so long that we know all of the bell man. They get to excited when we show up. I would venture to say that there are not many southerns who have big hair that get to stay there very often. I am very excited that on Saturday night I get to see my friends Pat and Sally from Westport, Connecticut. We have been friends for 30 years and I have not seen them in a very long time. They are godparents to Riley. It will be so much fun! This week I decide in celebration of my new studio I would feature my design work in my blogs. As I have mentioned before I was holding back on posting some of my work in hopes of getting it published in a magazine but now I am consider my blog as my own magazine. This project in Westover Hills was so much fun and I got to use so many gorgeous fabrics and furniture. Enjoy!
Love this gorgeous living room! The chairs that sit by the window along with the rug came from their house in Arlington. The sofa is from Cameron Collection and is done in a Schumacher velvet. The chairs in the window are reupholstered in a Lee Jofa fabric and the bergere chairs are antique. The black Baker coffee table was a perfect compliment to the room along with the Patina secretariat in the corner was custom colored to go with the room. This room is a jewel box.
Another view of the beautiful living room. The antique clock I found in Dallas and the Lucarene bench we ordered from George Cameron Nash. It came from Italy. Most of the artwork was commissioned by Banks Fine Art.
This is his study that started out with the gorgeous drapes from Travers. The blue chairs are A.Rudin and are done in a Jerry Pair leather. The three chairs against the wall are from Cameron Collection and the desk was custom from Kerr Collection. The bluebonnet paintings are from Banks Fine Art.
A close up of the beautiful Jerry Pair leather and the antique table. The rug came from Feizy.
The breakfast room I had all custom done. The banquette was done by AAA Draperies and the tables and chairs were custom done by Kerr Collection. This client collects antique majolica as you can see in the middle of the table.
I love this soft palette of the Master Bedroom. I had antique mirror installed behind the custom headboard. The bedding is from Robert Allen and Hamburg House. Draperies are Colefax & Fowler. The settee came from their house in Arlington and the chairs are from Baker. The rug we found at Feizy.

Time is one of our most precious assets.
Dinner last night was bone in pork chop and grilled zucchini. Healthy and delicious!
I love this song from Bruno Mars!
