Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a Rebecca Taylor silk top, Banana Republic skirt, with Ann Taylor kitten heels.
Happy Thursday! I have my assistant Michelle back from vacation--I say its a huge yippee! I don't know how I ran my business without an assistant for 6 years--I guess it was just not to its' current volume. We are both busy beavers today since she is back and the week is almost over already! Happy June--one of my favorite months in the year. My twins turn a year older, the pool is open, and life seems to slow ever so slightly. Can't say we will have a quiet June with my studio move--but boy will it be exciting to have the new space with my name in bright lights! Today I am featuring a house in Dallas with a wonderful blend of Mediterranean inspired features from France, Portugal, and Spain. It has so many interesting features--a feast for the eyes! Enjoy!
What a beautiful entry to this home with the gorgeous stone and the beautiful surround around the front door. I love the huge oversize interesting pots walking up to the front porch and the gorgeous Torchiere lighting.
What an incredible antique floor candelabra from England resting on top of reclaimed oak flooring from Colorado! I love the round window transom above this door. Great detail!
Stunning reclaimed beans throughout this room from Heritage Restorations! The antique mantle is from Pittet Architecturals in the Dallas Design District who I have bought many of antique mantles from. The custom sofas are from A.Rudin which is one of my favorite resources out of California and covered in a beautiful clean Kravet fabric. The French side table are Le Louvre French Antiques also in the Dallas Design Center. What a beautiful room!
What a warm and welcoming breakfast room! The chandelier is by Paul Ferrante who is one of my favorite lighting vendors. We just installed two Paul Ferrante chandeliers in the Casita that we are finishing up this week. The gorgeous wood carving above the mantle was also found at Le Louvre French Antiques. If you have never been there it is an incredible antique store.
Stunning custom table from Ironies. Another line that I love represented by Culp Associates. The crystal and iron chandelier is by Ebanista. The beautiful shades are by Conrad. We recently went to a seminary on Conrad shades and were absolutely fascinated on how they were made and woven in a small village. They are truly a work of art!
What a stunning and lush garden! I love the small gravel flooring in the sitting area. I adore the way that crunches underneath your feet.
Gorgeous handcrafted rod iron gates from Mountain Iron Works leading to the pool. What a gorgeous wall housing the fountain in the pool! So romantic!
This gorgeous guest room features a custom bed from Bradshaw Design in Salt Lake City. I love the height of the posts and all the shapely details.
What a luxurious sitting room to the Master Bedroom! Special interest is the firebox that is made of reclaimed French fire brick in a herringbone pattern. The antique coffee table came from Legacy antiques which is also one of my favorite antique stores. Love the layering of the draperies and the shades.
I have never used Belgian blue limestone before in my design work. It is absolutely stunning in this Master Bath. The mosaic tile floors from Lebanon are a showstopper!
What a jewel box of a bath tub and the beautiful courtyard beyond. Stunning bathroom!

Last night I treated Harrison and mother to my Chicken A L'Orange. This is from my New Orleans Junior League Cookbook that I have had since college. It is a treasure trove of recipes.
Here is the famous recipe. You definitely have to try it!
I keep meaning to look up what else Candice Glover has done in her career since she has won American Idol. Her rendition of this song is fabulous!
