Editor's Note: Today I am wearing linen pants from J.Crew, blouse by Carven, and kitten heels from Ann Taylor.
Happy Friday everyone! Memorial Day weekend is finally here--my kick off to the summer. I have always loved the relaxed feeling of summer--no school, tests, pressure. My Harrison is studying for the CPA exam--so he is hitting it every day in the dining room of our home. He has a "nest" nested with even a lamp added from his room. Whatever works to keep that boy brain going! Today's blog is on three historic homes in Napa, California. Twenty-two designers transformed these properties on Randolph Street in downtown Historic District of Napa. I am featuring one of the three homes today. I did not know that Napa had the historic past as a steamboat port, railroad hub, and agricultural center. I learn something new every day! Have a fabulous and safe Memorial Day weekend. I am truly thankful for all who have served our country to keep us safe. Thank you to all that we are honoring Monday! The blog will resume on Tuesday. Have a great three days off!
This home on 411 Randolph Street was originally a maturity ward in the early 1900's. It was built in 1860 and renovated by Leslie Kalish and Gayle Leksan to turn into a bed and breakfast. What a precious house! If walls could talk...
Another image of the outside of the home. Just darling!
Darling and cozy sitting room inviting the guests into the bed and breakfast. I love the soft tones of grey and beige. Warm and welcoming!
Soothing tones of soft blue and coral in the bedroom. The canopy over the bed creates such a romantic mood. Roman shades are one of my favorite window treatments--I love these with the beautiful tape trim.
What a darling piece of furniture with the cool large knob in the center. Perfect for serving wine or coffee for guests!
Lee Industries upholstery was used in this cottage in several places. When I worked for 12 years at The Market I sold as much Lee Industries as some whole stores. They sell to stocking dealers--not designers--so I really miss this resource.
Love these sliding barn doors! The pattern of the tile on the wall is so pretty! The continuation on the wall going into the shower is lovely.
Love this red door into the cottage with the cute sitting area outside. So fun!
How warm and welcoming in this pergola?! I would love to sit out here and have a cocktail.

Love these quotes!
Last night for dinner we had marinated flank steak and baked zucchini topped with mozzarella, chile oil, and slap yo' mama seasoning!
This song was one of my new favorites the minute I heard it. If you have not seen the movie you must. It is incredible.
