I adore the new issue of House Beautiful for March. I actually loved every page! The article that I want to talk about today is a beautiful Georgian style house in Monroe, Louisiana designed by Melissa Rufty out of New Orleans. The home is full of class, full of symmetry, with elegant colors of fabrics. I always admire another good designers work and the choices they made in the room. I feel like I grow and learn every day but what I see in the design district and in my magazines. Magazines are also a wonderful instrumental to show a client what a wallpaper or fabric looks like installed. It is true pictures speak a thousand words. Happy Tuesday everyone! It is a stunning day here with clear blue skies and a lovely temperature. I hope you are having a beautiful day!
What a gorgeous dining room! Love the wallpaper in the beautiful cantaloupe color and the Fortuny draperies are to die for! Animal print is always the right answer and these dining chairs are stunning in Christopher Highland velvet.
Beautiful living room with the gorgeous traditional marble mantle. Love the piece of art applied on the wall to the left of the mantle above the seatee. The coral and the blues are so beautiful together in this room!
I love it when there is a contemporary piece of furniture like this lucite glass console in this traditonal setting. I also love the painting above it! I think art needs to be something that moves you not that totally matches the room.
Melissa described this library as being wrapped in a warm blanket. The beautiful cozy brown achieves this mixed with the gorgeous blue. The coffee table was custom made and was painted with a faux horn affect. So pretty!
This is my favorite room in the house by far! Those green chairs oh my goodness I adore them!! The white marble and the beautiful silver leaf floral paper is so elegant and soothing. What a glamorous room to get to sit in and visit with friends!
What a jewel box of a powder room from the corner sink with the chinoiserie scene hand-painted on the apron to the incredible wallpaper! Just gorgeous!

I thought this quotes were hysterical!
Last night dinner was simple but yummy! We had a ground turkey burger with steamed zucchini!
This is one of my favorite Little River Band songs! It always reminds me of driving down the streets of New Orleans in college.
