Editor's Note: Today I am wearing skirt from Anthropologie, top from Ann Taylor, and boots from Coach.
All of the new issues of magazines that I have received this month have been so great and enjoyable to read. Today I want to feature one in the new Traditional Home. It is a 1950's house in Atlanta, GA given a face lift by Courtney Giles Interiors. I love that the house was done for a young couple with young children and has accessories everywhere. I raised my kids on the one finger method. They could touch anything in the house with one finger which means that you can't pick it up. During their childhood they only broke two small things. I don't thing you have to compromise your interiors for small children as they are just things after all. Courtney Giles did a stunning job making the home elegant but comfortable. Every room is very well appointed. Happy Thursday everyone! The weekend is fast coming upon us and it is Super Bowl Sunday! Even though I am very sad that the Cowboys aren't playing in the Super Bowl I always love watching especially the commercials. Have a great day!
This is a snapshot of the Family Room that was add on to the back of the house. The room was designed around the gorgeous painting over the sofa to accommodate the art. The drapery rods are one of my favorite to use because they curve around to meet the wall.
I love the soft tones of the living room with the soft eggplant blues and beige. I love the collage of the antique art on the wall and the elegant chest beside the sofa. It goes to show you that a side table does not have to be shorter than the sofa. I love the blue stripe on the antique chair.
What an elegant dining room! The beautiful wallpaper is hand painted by Stark. I love the beautiful auberge color going on in here. The slip cover at the host and hostess are so sassy!
What an architectural beautiful kitchen. The vent a hood is stunning!
This was a bedroom turned into a library. They chose baskets on the shelves to hold their books for a beautiful and clean look. The painting is from a local artist and is stunning!
This is the daughter's room and it is so lovely! It is described as a room that she can grow up into. I often do girls rooms this way so as not to have to change them in three years.
There are many elements of this quietly beautiful Master Bedroom that I love. My two favorites are the antique bench at the foot of the bed and the drapery treatments. Just beautiful and serene.

Dinner last night was asaparagus cooked in the oven drizzled with a spicy chile oil and diablo chicken from Central Market. Delicious!
I love this song from Neil Diamond. It always makes me sigh.
