Editor's note: Today I am wearing a Rebecca Taylor silk blouse, a skirt from Theory, and shoes by Nancy Nancy.
Happy Wednesday! It’s hump day already-so much catching up to do after the wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I for one have been swamped- but in a good way. Have I mentioned lately that I love what I do??? I did sneak some Cyber Monday shopping in- scored some Valentino shoes on Real Real. Merry Christmas to me! One of my favorite parts of my job is to pull fabric- which need to do for several jobs. I get lost in my world of design when I pull fabrics and trims-my happy place! Tomorrow I will be getting a house ready for an engagement party. I completed this home in 2007 and am still so proud how beautiful it is! I get to go to the party on Saturday ~ I have watched this young lady grow up. I really do become part of the family to my clients- it warms my heart every time!
Today’s article I found in the new issue of Veranda. A must read!!! This London apartment is truly down my alley- a mixture of so many styles and oh so full. Designer Alidad says when he decorates a room he wants it to feel like it has been there a long time and that different generations have left their mark on the rooms. I love that!
Enjoy and have a super “Hump Day”!
Every room in this apartment send me to the moon and back- beyond gorgeous. This section of the drawing room is packed with splendor. First, the walls- love the color and that molding that comes down the wall-WOW! I so often do skirted tables because they add another layer to the room. This skirt using a Pierre Frey fabric is so rich! Love the fireplace bench, and how the chair is tucked next to the antique table on the other side of the fireplace.
Another view of the drawing room. Alidad mixes so many styles and fabrics-so gorgeous! The 17-century Flemish tapestry is truly a show stopper behind the custom Pierre Frey sofa. I think I own the cut velvet on the chair peeking out on the right! (Our cat plucked it badly ☹ ☹) Love the art, love the custom lamp shade on the right---just love love this room!
This dining room- so formal and fabulous! All the different crystal used is divine! I have never used fruit to decorate my table alongside flowers, but watch out! So doing that soon! Pure elegance.
The walls are custom hand painted and embossed-leather…oh my goodness…gives me goose bumps! The ceiling is as gorgeous and important as the walls. Love the high back and dramatic chairs- utilizing trim to perfection creating the design on the back. I NEED these dishes!
The door to this powder room-WOW! The walls are covered in a Kirkby Design faux suede and are trimmed with braid from Turnell & Gigon. I love the art painting hung on the door! I am sure when this door is closed it just looks like a wall. The floating Crema Marfil stone counter is oh so elegant.
A full vision of this outstanding library where Alidad prefers to greet his guests. The reds and greens used are rich and wonderful. Every square inch of this room is filled…I love it! My kind of coziness. The red book cases read into the wallpaper perfectly. I could sit and analyze this room for days and days…
What a beautiful antique marble mantel lending such elegance to this bedroom. The walls upholstered in a Romo linen and adorned with studded braid work is so unique and gorgeous.
This headboard is so tall and commanding! LOVE IT! The bed covering is a 19th-century suzani…it is just so lovely!
A bed fit for royalty. Note the pillow roses-so gorgeous.

I love this.
This is such an amazing quote. It really inspires me to live each day to the fullest and appreciate the loved ones we have.
For dinner last night I had salad with tuna and avocado. Delicious!
Such a great song!
