Happy Monday everyone! When I left you off on Friday I was rooting for the Fogs, Tigers, and Cowboys, and looking forward to finishing Riley's apartment. Well....I did not know the Fogs had a bi-week. The Tigers lost to Troy in Death Valley, which is unheard of. And the Cowboys choked in the second half of their game. So my only winning part of the weekend was finishing Riley's apartment. Our task rabbit man was named Paul, and he did a marvelous job. I have a happy girl in NYC that has everything hung. I was Facetiming with her for over 2 hours...good thing I sat there with a charger!
Mackenzie and I are excited about the install starting tomorrow. And I even wrote Tuesday and Wednesday's blog this weekend to get a head start. Both articles are fabulous! Tomorrow starts with loading furniture at H&E Movers and the traveling to the lake. It's going to be a long day, and I pray that there is no damage to anything in transit...that is always a big worry. I found some of the most amazing posts on Instagram this weekened-really too many to show you in the blog. As I've said many time before I feel like I get to travel around the world. Enjoy the post that I am featuring, and have a fabulous week!
First, I am going to show you Riley's aparment. The floral chair moved up to NYC with Riley from my mother's house summer of 16'. The table beside the chair I boght for her in Round Top. The lamp I bought for her dorm room Freshman year at TCU. The piece of art over the gray sofa that belongs to her roomate, Piper, was the first piece of art I ever purchaded when I lived in NYC. It was a whole weeks pay, and I was so proud of it. How about that-that it statred its life in NYC in 1982 and has returned to NYC in 2016. Who would've known.
Riley's bedroom with her beloved Chanel posters. The one above the chest was given to her by a dear friend and client who gave her a Chanel themed Senior Party when she graduated from Country Day. The poster on the other side of the bed we bought at a museum while she was in college while in New York-knowing we would frame it for her apartment some day. The headboard, chest, and bedding I bouht for her TCU house her Junior year. I found the marble lamp in Round Top the same time as the table in the living room. the draperies were hung yesterday, as well as all of the art.
Another view of her bedroom. The dressing table was my mother's in the 60's. The mirror I bought for her Freshman dorm room, and the lamps I bought for her TCU house Junior year. The chair is part of her dining room chairs that I have the balance of in my office. The picture in between the window is a photograph from Greece that was given to me by my bother and sister-in-law in the early 90's.
