Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a silk blouse by Ungario, Skirt by Nanette Lapore, and my favorite new shoes by Valentino.
I collect and treasure my beautiful coffee table books of different designers and collections of homes. Today I want to talk about an article in Suzanne Kasler's book Timeless Style. If you have not seen this book the whole book by Rizzoli is worthy of reading. Rizzoli publishes the most beautiful books in my opinion. This home Suzanne Kasler entitles glamour and glamours it certainly is. This home is located in Columbus, Georgia. This home was designed by Pak Heydt & Associates. What an incredible job they did and hope you enjoy the rooms I featured as much as I enjoyed them! Happy Friday everyone! The third Friday in our New Year and inauguration day! God Bless our new President Trump and may he bring about wonderful change to our new country.
What an incredible entry! As the article describes this entry looks like it could be a villa in Lake Como in Italy.
This gorgeous entry features plasters wall that are scored to look like stone. The ceiling is painted in one of my favorite colors blue. I adore blue ceilings they make me look like I am looking up at the sky. I am always fascinated with beautiful iron staircases. I actually collect pictures of them for future jobs. I loved this one!
What a beautiful elegant room done in all cream with small splashes of color! The center table is Italian from the 1850's and was the first piece found for the room. I also love the lucite coffee table in the forefront which adds a fresh take to the otherwise very traditional setting.
What an incredible room these windows going up to the sky overlooking the lake. What majesty! The draperies are quiet but lush and I love all the upholstery in the room especially the gilded chair on the right.
The Fortuny fabric on the pair of antique chairs stills the show in this space! The mantle is also very unique!
My favorite feature of this elegant Dining Room is the beautiful mirror and iron doors entering the room. The molding going around the ceiling is also most incredible!
The colors in this beautiful library were built off the Oriental rug. I love the gorgeous touches of blue that go around the room and especially love the lights that illuminate the bookcases. So classy!
This octagonal room is incredible! It was original a hallway that the designer turned into a casual breakfast room.
I love this dining area featuring draperies from Michael S. Smith's line for Jasper. How beautiful and soft they are! I also adore the slip covers--the ties on the side add so much sass!
The beautiful lavender Fortuny fabric that hangs behind the bed is the foundation for this Master Bedroom. What a gorgeous hue of purple and how majestic is the headboard and the canopy for this bedroom. What a great statement!
This quote by John Maxwell is one of my favorite quotes that I have found in sometime. I feel like I have to adjust my sails weekly.
Dinner last night was homemade zucchini soup served with leftover lamp burger from the other night. Quick, easy, and delicious!
Oh how do I love Nat King Cole! What an incredible singer!
