Editor's Note: Today in New York City I am wearing Joie silk top, Ann Taylor white jeans, and Banana Republic kitten heels.
Yesterday Michelle and I started our adventure to install Riley's apartment in New York City. We had to take separate planes on American because we used miles even though the flights took off and landed at the same time. Michelle had a pits stop in Pittsburgh and mine was in Atlanta. Michelle and I found each other in baggage claim just fine but unfortunately our bags did not make their way from Pittsburgh or Atlanta. Oh Mama Kay was not happy! My bag arrived this morning at 2:00 and Michelle is still traveling around New York somewhere hopefully to land soon! So because Michelle does not have any clothes she put on Riley's gym shorts and a tshirt and off we went to meet the movers at 8:00 am this morning. We went to her apartment on 66th and 1st. We were 15 mins late because I hit the wrong button on my phone and cancelled the first UBER driver on my phone but once we arrived around 8:15 we hit it hard! These movers were phenomenal! We tagged team movers were going up and down the stairs--Michelle was guarding the downstairs door and I was placing the furniture and organizing the kitchen. By noon all the furniture and boxes were in and un-packed. The rest of the afternoon we spent making Riley's bed, shopping for extension cords, light bulbs, and various other things at Bed Bath & Beyond. Tomorrow we will get the new trim for the drum chandeliers, I will put the trim on the chandeliers and we will finish up! Because we got so much done today--Michelle and I will get to go to the D&D building and show Michelle more of New York that I did not think we would have time for! I will send a finish product of the apartment tomorrow but we are almost there. Here are pictures of our fun times last night and the progress of the move today! Hello New York--Michelle and Kay are here to divide and conquer and make Riley's & Flo's nest perfect!!
Here we are atop my best friend "Beast" rooftop terrace!

Steel Magnolia Tip # 29: When you have a big problem-- pray and pray often. Be sure and pray at quiet times so you can receive and hear the answers .
