Editor's Note: Today I am wearing suede jeans by Joe jeans, top by theory, kitten heels from Banana Republic.
This month's issue of Traditional Home is a must read. Today I want to talk about the beautiful home of designer Vern Yip. It cracked me up in one of the first paragraphs of the article how he said when he and his partner got their precious children that there was "no ball kicking in the house (there's a big backyard for that) and occasional things get broken they are only things!" This was my motto when I had my twins. Expect that I called ball kicking an outside activity along with throwing things and yelling. As full as my house was and is my twins only broke two small things. I taught them to touch anything in the house with one fingers "you can't pick anything up with one finger" my baby nurse taught me this trick. Vern Yip's house is full of color and warmth. I loved every room and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Happy Thursday everyone tomorrow is Friday.
What a precious picture of this family!
This entry hall is a feast for the eyes! The Baccarat chandelier is so unique. I love the art and hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers!
I love to do square table skirts! He even has an attitude lamp which is one of my favorite things in the world.
I think Vern Yip and I would get along very well!
What a beautiful cleaned line Living Room that is not child proof. What to go Vern!
Another view of the Living Room. I love the coffee tables! His drum chandeliers remind me of the far less expensive version that have traveled with my daughter Riley from Freshman dorm to the Tri-Delt house to her TCU house to New York City. The gift of light that keeps on giving!
The Le Corbusier chairs are so fine in this Living Room! I am sure buying the rug in Arrakaech was quiet a thrill! I love buying things out of town and shipping them home. It adds so much interest and stories to a room!
The Dining Room is full of fabrics from Vern Yip's line for Trend for Fabricut. The room is stunning!
Master Bedroom features a beautiful bed from Ralph Lauren home and some more of Vern Yip's fabrics. What an elegant room to retire in!
This Master bath is so sleek and I love having a table with a piece of art in the middle of the room. How cool is that?! The Paris Petal Pendant chandelier is one of Vern's designs and adds so must drama to this guest bedroom! What a beautiful room to stay for the evening. The duvet fabric on the bed is one of Vern's fabrics. What a talented man!!
Another family picture. These kids are too adorable for words!
I found this one on the internet as well. The daughter looking at the son is so heart warming!
I can't wait to buy Vern Yip's new book!

Dinner last night was one of my favorites---Tilepia cooked with lemon butter and half a tomato cooked with Swiss cheese seasoned with Chile oil. Delicious!
Another song that I have forgotten about and did not know it was sung by a band name Redbone. This one is a toe-tapper! Make it a great day everyone! Remember today is a present!
