Editor's Note: Today I am wearing brocade dress from Lafayette and shoes by Giorgio Armani.
It absolutely kills me to throw away magazines. I always think I need to look through them one more time to make sure that I didn't miss something. I had to hold my breath and throw away about 35 magazines this weekend in recycling. I did it and didn't look back. I couldn't throw away the July issue of Architectural Digest because there was one more article that I wanted to put in the blog. This beautiful home designed by Suzanne Kasler--whose work I always admire--in Maine was so warm and incredible! Suzanne did an incredible job of making this home in Maine a fabulous "idyllic childhood summers" memory for this family in New England. Here is the article! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Something about boys, a deck, and water always go together. These boys look like they are having a blast!
What a beautiful, comfortable, family friendly living room. The touches of blue exude peacefulness.
What a lovely place to have your morning coffee or your evening cocktail!
I love the wood burning fireplace on the porch and the big ship on the mantle.
Oh this pool and the architecture of this pool house! I could stare at the architecture of this house all day long and twice on Sundays!
Is this blue kitchen not incredible!!
Another lovely blue and white room! I love all the fabrics! The ceiling height and beams add such drama!
What a lovely guest room?! I love the detail around the ceiling and the fabric repeated on the bed skirt and the draperies! One of my favorite things to do! The bed is from Charles P. Rogers--I past their showroom on my best friends street every time I am there. I love their beds!
I love the mixture of the Ralph Lauren blue and white and the antique English chest in the boys room. I have never framed navel flags but I have often done flags from golf courses and I love that touch. The irregular ceiling adds so much charm to the room.
Bennison fabrics always add an extremely touch of elegance to any room. This Master bedroom is so serine and I love the inserted bed with the small bookcases and swing arm lamps, so charming!
Such an elegant Master bath. I love the picture lighting over the towels. I am sure this is so beautiful at night! Pure elegance!

Great quotes that I found today!
Last night for dinner I had leftover asparagus soup, leftover grilled chicken, and a delicious half of zucchini seasoned with Chile oil and Swiss cheese. Delicious!
