Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a Rag N Bone Dress and Banana Republic snake kitten heels.
We have our Palm Springs install in a little over a month. We are in full swing making sure that we have our i's dotted and our t's crossed. When I do an out of town install it is a turn key job. A house that goes to empty to completely furnished in every way. We outfitted the kitchen yesterday with our client at Sur La Table. We are still checking off our to do list daily as well as handling current and new jobs. Michelle and I are too busy bee's right now which is all a great thing! I thought it would be fun to show you the lead fabrics in each room in Palm Springs that inspired me for the rest of the room. Here you go! Here is a sneak peak of Palm Springs...
This GP&J Baker fabric inspired me for the Master Bedroom. My clients adore color as you will see throughout the house!
Here are all the textile elements in the room!
This fabulous cactus Pierre Frey fabric inspired me for the middle bedroom. We call it the "Cactus Room" because of the fabric. We are using this fabric to fabric an entire wall that the fabric headboard will be pushed up against. It will be quiet the drama!
The other wonderful fabrics in the room!
Another GP&J Baker fabric for what we call the "Garden Bedroom." This bedroom has a tiny garden outside the sliding door thrust the garden name. This velvet is going to be the draperies to the sliding doors. I think it is handsome and masculine for the future golfers who will be sleeping in the bedroom!
The accompany fabric and our two wing chairs!
This dragon fabric from Carleton V is the lead fabric for the Guest House/Cabana. This fabric has incredible personality!
The room will have a sleeper sofa in it as well as a king bed. The fabric in the bottom right is the sleeper sofa!
This gorgeous Sanderson fabric will be the draperies and romans in the living room and kitchen.
The vibrant colors really set the tone for the room!
There are three seating areas in the living room so I had wonderful other fabric opportunities to add to this drapery fabric!
The Dining Room Chairs are out of this beautiful Lee Jofa cut velvet. The green handle flatware I found in a flea market in New York. The piece of art in the upper right corner I found in a gallery in Baton Rouge and the buffet came from an antique store in South Carolina.
Steel Magnolia Tip # 32: Don't waste your time hanging out with negative people. They will only bring you down. Surround yourself with positive people and you will do your best!
Love these quotes that I found this morning!
To my dismay I gained three pounds while in New York--how I did that going up and down sixth flights of stairs is beyond me! So I am eating lean and mean this week. I made an asparagus soup to pull some of the water weight out of me along with half a baked piece of chicken. It was still delicious!
I don't think there is any Kenny Loggins song that I do not like.
