Editor's Note: Today on my way out of New York I am wearing J.Brand white jeans, Joie silk blouse, with Stuart Weizmann sandals.
I just discovered Eric Valero, on Instagram this morning. He is the Art Director of the prestigious French House of Nobilis in Paris. I love the fabrics and wallpapers in Nobilis and was excited to find out the man behind the scene. I looked him on the internet and found a wonderful interview. One of his quotes in the interview says "he believes quality is a must! " Which has always been my motto. In 2010, he received the Musee Des Arts Dercoatifs at the Louvre in Paris. He has designed for the design houses of Fardis, Mulberry Silk, Holding Hermes, Parry Muray, Venilla, Etamine (Zimmer & Rhode), Galerie Triff, Manuel Canovas and Graty Lorthiois--what a resume!! This man has talented oozing out of his body! He started painting as a child and I started decorated as a child with my barbie houses. Reading his interview I had an instant bond with this man. One of his quotes in the interview was "Design is a spirit of life, the way to make our lives more beautiful!" Nobilis is an old family house created by Adolf Halard in 1928 in the Saint Germain Des Pres area of Paris. Nobilis means noble in Latin. Eric is inspired by many of the interior designers from the 1930's and the 1950's. Another quote that I loved from the interview was "there is no difference between my life and my work, so my personal life style combined with my instinct... my own 'je ne sais quoi' influence. Here are some of the images that I loved on his Instagram page. This is one talented man!
