Editor's Note: Today I am wearing Anthropologie skirt, Vince silk blouse, and vintage Nine West sandals that I will be sad when they die.
As has been my usual mood I spent the weekend catching up on magazines! Since I moved Harrison into his apartment at LSU my weekend was down to one day so I made the most of my Sunday. This House Beautiful Issues was so fabulous there are two articles that I am going to blog on. The first one is the Park Avenue Apartment designed by Los Angeles designer Mark D. Sikes. You don't always see a New York apartment with this much color! When my best friend asked me to help her reupholster her living room furniture last year; she also picked out vibrant colors like this apartment! Making New York is starting to realize that there is more to life than beige and gray--It warms my heart and feeds my soul. Here are the images of this fabulous apartment! Mark D. Sikes you did an amazing job!!!
Wow this sofa!!! It is so me!! Of course the sofa fabric is from Brunschwig & Fils which is one of my favorite fabric houses. Stunning!
Most people are scared to put a bold fabric on the sofa but I think it sets the tone for the whole room!
An overview of the entire room. I love every element of this room! It looks comfortable, happy, and ready to lounge or entertain guests!
The DeGournay wallpaper that Mark designed custom for this dining room sets the tone for the whole room. Stunning!
The Kravet settee is so precious against this wallpaper! What a charming room!
I have never placed wallpaper from Iksel's Iznik but I am sure to look it up and check it out! This powder room is precious and full of pizzaz!
Oh my so many elements in this room that float my boat! Taking the trim down the ceiling and following it down the loveseat. Thank you Mark for inspiring me! I am sure to do this on another job! I love the wallpaper on the ceiling--it is one of my favorite things to do!
Love both of these room shots!
The Cole & Son wallpaper in this Master Bedroom is so elegant and peaceful! I love the lilac colored headboard. Fabric headboards are one of my favorites! I have a thing about corner chairs--this chained back corner chair has a sparkle to the room!
Here is a picture with Mark Sikes and some fun quotes from him!

Last night for dinner was leftover chicken served cold with an arugula salad with avocado and spicy hatched chilies!
The monterey jack cheese topped it off!
