One of my favorite reps who I have followed over the years from showroom to showroom Traci--is now working at a store called Emily Summers in Highland Park Village. She contacted me over a month ago telling me where she was and we have been doing our best to make the time to go and see her. We loved the store and found many items that we have already quoted to clients! There is a unique mix of vintage and new furniture and accessories. Here are some highlights of what caught my interest of when we visited the store for the first time!
The store has an inclusive on works from Mark Shaw who photographed for Christian Dior among-st other people.
These photography works were incredible! I can't wait to place one!
This buffet from the 30's has so much class and style!
Another Mark Shaw print that was taken before a run way show in Paris.
The chair in the window was vintage with new fabric and the side table is done by a local artist. Both great!!
I love this chaise lounge done in Egypt!
A great vintage secretary from the mid-century!
The same piece closed. The wood is beautiful and the lines are very graceful!
The sofa was new and this is a good view of the collection that the store has of the works by Mark Shaw.
This custom cocktail table has duo glass tops made from reclaimed glass meant from telescopes. So cool!!!
A collection of custom works of accessories from Matthew Soloman. So beautiful!
These are works from Marie Suri. Love the gracefulness of the mirror and the sconces are so elegant!
We are placing these candlesticks also by Marie Suri in our job in Palm Springs. I loved them!!
This beautiful plate by Marrion we are also placing in the job in Palm Springs. I love to use original pieces of art on my jobs.
I am always looking for original art and accessories no matter where I go!

Steel Magnolia Tip #4: Never show depression if or when it hits. Always act happy and in control.
Love these quotes! I love to live my life in a positive manner!
Dinner last night was asparagus soup that I made on Saturday along with Southwest Marinated chicken from Central Market and a spinach salad with Swiss Cheese and blue cheese dressing. One of my tricks to make my dinners look like a lot of food is to fill the plate instead of having a side plate. Try this trick it will work for you!
A friend of my told me to look up a song by Steve Forbet last fall. I not only downloaded the song and about five others. I love this mans work!
