Editor's Note: This morning Encore cut the power before I got dressed so they could butcher even more trees behind our house. So my leg kicking outfit picture is taken by candlelight--isn't that romantic. I am wearing a dress by Carvan and heels by Coach.
After I returned from New York having measured Riley's apartment I went to the storage unit to see the plethora of furniture that I had to choose from to place in the apartment. Sadly her incredible pink sofa from Lee Jofa was far to big to fit in the space on to plan B. The down loveseat covered in the Corraggio patterned white velvet was the new main piece in the room. This allowed for the precious white marble top table to go next to it and one of the English floral print chairs to go in the room. I found a bookcase that I forgot that we had that replaced the table that the girls did not want in the room (I guess young people don't sit down to eat food--I do silly me!). So I redid the floor plan drew in a rug sent it to the girls and they approved! I was extremely fortunate that one of my clients was helping someone do an estate sale recently and sent me pictures that included a rug and a small table that were perfect for this tiny but precious apartment. The price was right the look was right--Bingo! Riley's roommate found a nesting tables that they want to use as their cocktail table so we are good to go! Now we only need the movers to give us a firm day--shooting for September 7th! Crossing our fingers! My assistant Michelle and I are going to go up and install the apartment what lucky 23 years old to have their designer and assistant come and make their apartment beautiful! I am determined that it will be one of the sassy apartments of anyone they know of their friend group in New York. Here are the new winners of the Living Room of the apartment!
The apartment building is beyond beautiful! I love the staircase.
Riley and her roommate are on the 6th floor--their legs are going to be very toned since it is a walk-up.
Pictures of Riley's room! Riley's room will fit her bed, dressing table, chest, and her chair along with the white rug that use to be in their study at the TCU house.
Another view of her room!
The Living Room and Kitchen it is a special treat in a New York apartment to have a window in the kitchen.
They have new cabinets! The kitchen will be very functional!
Riley's fire escape--she thinks it looks like the fire escape in Breakfast at Tiffany's!
The entry of Riley's apartment. If you notice she has one shoe on and one shoe off--her favorite Vince Camuto sandals broke ascending the sixth flights of stairs. I wonder how many shoes will break in the tenure of living in the building?
Riley looking at the view going up. Such a cool staircase! Not sure why there is a refrigerator in the lobby such a mystery??
Maybe someone couldn't get it up the stairs!
The new floor plan that I drew before I found the rug from the estate sale.
The bookcase that will hold the TV and Riley's roommates antique art books.
This orange tiny table from Wisteria will for sure find a place somewhere in the apartment. It has got attitude!
Riley's love for Chanel. I dear friend Laurie gave her a party for graduating High School--we had the saying frame.
My first piece of art that I ever purchase when I lived in New York. It was a whole weeks eating money to buy.
Who needs to eat when you can have art?! It is going back to live in New York. Round 2 so much fun!!
Another great Chanel poster that we had framed. This will live in Riley's bedroom!
The darling marble top table that I found at Round Top.
Only one of the chairs will get to travel to New York and the hall tree will go in their entry.
The girls were very excited about the hall tree and Riley said it was very New York!
Only two of the dining chairs will travel but that is okay because they are sturdy and beautiful!
The white loveseat, floor lamp, and table lamp that will make the trip.
The pair of chandeliers hanging in the study are going to have a face lift with new Greek key trim in a blush color.
I am planning on hanging them on either side of the bookcase.
Here is the trim!
The fabulous Egyptian wool rug from the estate sale that will go in the Living Room. It is perfect in size and color.
The tiny three-tired table that I plan on placing in front of the bookcase for a drink and accessories on the bottom tires.
I found these brackets in an ad and plan on purchasing three for each side of the bookcase.
The nest of tables that Riley's roommate found that they want to use as a cocktail table.
Riley's rooftop area that will be the social scene of the building. Hello New York Riley has arrived!

Any successful person will tell you it was not an accident it takes perseverance.
Dinner last night was Bison burger seasoned with garlic oil, Slam Yo' Mama, and pepper cooked on 400 for 20 mins. The salad is arugula with avocado and a blue cheese dressing! Delicious!
This song always brings a tear to my eye when I hear it. If I could be beamed up for one minute to hung my daddy I would love too!
