Editor's Note: Today I am wearing Rebecca Taylor dress with Vince Camuto sandals.
My wonderful daughter Riley is moving to New York today. She is going to work for Listen First where she interned last summer. She absolutely loved working with there last summer and loved living in New York City and has had both feet heading back to NYC all senior year of TCU. It warmed my heart when I heard when the announcement was made that Riley was coming back to work that the client team cheered! Her warm southern ways, her wit, her incredible laugh, and her remarkable brain were all a wining combination with the team that she is going to be working with! I am incredible proud of Riley's achievements. The success she had at TCU and what a fabulous person she is inside and out! God Blessed me with two incredible twins and I sent one off this morning to start her journey. God speed Riley I know you star is going to rise to the top!
The Neeley School of Business at TCU where Riley graduated from publishes two magazine a year. Riley made the cover for the work she did in her Marketing class on design thinking. What an honor to be on the cover of this magazine! Fantastic!
Here is a copy of the article. I am so proud of her!
Riley gliding across the stage getting her diploma!
Packing last night for New York with one of her best friends Mabry who will be a senior this year at TCU. She promised me she would come and spend the night every once in a while from keeping me lonely.
We had 4 suitcases and a tote bag and Riley is off!
We have one sad Lacie Rue in Riley's chair in her room! It dogs could cry she would have been weeping.
Even though I don't eat cake I love this quote!
Saturday night I made my marinated skirt steak with jalapeno sausage and some left over potatoes from 4th of July. I did not eat the potatoes but my plate looked lonely without them! I am so sorry I forgot to take a picture of the beautiful artichokes that we had for our first course served with butter. It was a delicious celebration meal and send off for Riley!
Last night we had another celebration meal for Riley and River Crest. Sweet Jimmy at River Crest sent a bottle of champagne to the table in celebration of Riley's new job and departure! My dinner was a hamburger without the bun and curly fries "I only ate about five but their were delicious!"
Riley introduced me to this song and it I came on iTunes when she was packing last night and this morning.
This song will always remind me of the day that Riley left for New York. Go Get 'em Riley!
