Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a J.Crew skirt, Banana Republic top and kitten heels. One of the joys of losing 25 pounds is getting to wear smaller sizes. Two years ago I would never have dreamed that I would have on a size six skirt and a size small blouse. Hot Diggity Dog!!
Today I am featuring one of my clients houses that I helped remold and finish last year. I have been working with them on their home for over 10 years and during the remold we took out walls, opened up the kitchen, and the client went from richer tones to soft ethereal tones. The whole house has soft blues, grays, and creams. The overall effect is elegant and soothing. I love it when I get to help my clients dreams come true. Here are a few highlights in this beautiful home!
This sofa use to be a weed color and we reupholstered in this beautiful cream with this blue Samuel and Sons tape on the beautiful.
I adore Samuel and Sons trim!
We utilized her blue and white that she had collected over the years before and all the other furniture such as this side table.
The kitchen is expanded because the couple loves to cook and entertain!
Love the multiple chandeliers over the beautiful marble island!
This special custom back splash to the cook tops adds such a spark to the room!
Some detailed shots of the powder room! This use to be a full guest bath that was converted to a powder bath.
The antique oyster plates I just found for her about six months ago.
We took some benches that she has had for many years, lacquered them and put this incredible Cowtan and Tout fabric on them.
Pure joy to the room!
This beautiful display cabinet is where the tub shower use to be.
This is the third reupholster for this living room sofa.
She collects platters from all over the world and I love the oriental men sitting on the brackets!
This is a wall in the dining room over her antique Louis XV buffet that lived in her dining room before! I put together this collection of cream accessories to highlight the majolica. The lamps are Murano glass!
Love these quotes! My Uncle has a saying.. "There are no problems, only opportunities."
Dinner last night was grilled marinated flank steak with spinach salad with grilled corn, Swiss cheese, and pepitas. Yummy!!
Anyone who is lucky enough to be in love with their best friend is lucky indeed!
