Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a dress by J. Crew with my vintage echo belt and Vince Camuto bejeweled sandals.
One of my joys of summer is going up to the country club and sitting by the swimming pool and reading my magazines. I get my huge glass of water with lemon it it and put my headphones on blocking out the world and read away. I call it my quiet creative time where there are no phones ringings and no one is needing me. This past Saturday I took my newest Traditional Home and Elle Decor up to the pool read every page and ear marked what was important to me and as usually got inspired! Different things will spark interest through the magazines whether it be a room, light fixture, tile, or fabric. A lot of times I rip the pages out and right the clients name on the page so that I can put it in their bag when I get to work on Monday. Here is what peaked my interested in the newest Traditional Home.
I need rocking chairs for my Palm Springs job and I love these from Janus et Cie.
I love the garden stool that is next to the Chaise lounge in the bottom left picture.
Thge light fictures from Hudson Valley I can see using on the job that will be in full swing this full. I also liked Charlotte Moss' china.
I love this backyard especially the back entrance!
One of my favorite things to do in a bedroom is to use one fabric throughout the room. I thought this fabric was beautiful!
The blue shutters on the porch add such a great spark with their iron ornamentation and their color.
This living room is so fresh and happy!
The tile back splash in this kitchen is stunning!
I love the dining chairs in this dining room especially the host and hostess!
I love this dressing room!
This tile back splash in the kitchen is stunning!
Love these quotes! My best friend Beast in New York is an editor and she hates how I don't read the articles and just look at the images.
Sorry Beast that is just me!
This was not in Traditional Homes this is in Kay's home. I finally got my vintage prints and my clock hung on my side wall of my dressing room. Now my dressing room is complete! I love my vintage prints. They are so girly!!
Last night for dinner we grilled steaks from Costco outside seasoned with garlic oil, salt and pepper. We also grilled some pork sausage and I baked my zucchini with chili oil, Tony Chachere seasoning, and Swiss cheese in the oven. The spaghetti squash was complements of Riley who cooked it on Saturday night. Delicious!!
This Aretha Franklin song is such a classic and always gets me singing!
