Editor's Note: Today I am wearing shorts and lacy top from Ann Taylor and kitten heels by J.Crew.
Yesterday was the wedding reception that I helped planned and designed the flowers for my sweet clients, Ruth and Bill. Their son and now daughter-in-law got married in Maui last week and their wedding reception was held at Joe T Garcia's. I have only designed two weddings in my life. One was in the mid 90's and the second one was last night. Needless to say that I felt the difference in my age yesterday. I was up at 5:00 am and finished the flowers at 3:30 pm. My sweet client Amy and my daughter Riley helped me do the flowers at Joe Garcia's and we had fun laughing and stripping roses. Amy served as not only my flower helper and the bouncer and kept the Joe Garcia's patrons from going back into our wedding reception area. Her comments and scolding of people that wanted to go into our area were quite amusing! My only hiccup in the flowers that I was not aware that Ruth added two more rose bowls to the mix that I was not aware of and I did not count when I took all the rose bowl out of the boxes. I thought the florist had shorted me on flowers. Riley to the rescue! Riley went and found more flowers for me and I got all the vases done and boom we were finished! Then sweet Riley had to sit and guard the flowers while I went home and got dressed for the reception so, that they would not walk off with the nosy patrons that wanted to keep coming into the area. All and all the flowers turned out beautifully and the evening was wonderful with the cool breeze. The bride and groom thanked me profusely as did Ruth and Bill. It was an all around beautiful evening for a happy couple starting their journey of life together! Best wishes to Jameson and Amanda! I hope you fall in love with each other every day over and over again!
Ready, set, go! Off to do flowers!
My downstairs looked and smelled like a flower shop. It smelled divine! Flowers and formals what more could a room want?
I love antique hydrangeas! They dry beautifully!

Some of my finished arrangements!
A table at the entry with cards for guest to write notes to Amanda and Jameson along with a stunning picture that was taken in Maui. I had no idea that when I did the flowers that my arrangements almost matched her bouquet.
Present table with lilies that smelled divine!
The party is about to begin! Everything is set and the flowers are smiling.

Love these quotes!
Friday night I made my stuff squash. A recipe that I made up myself! It has steamed zucchini the insides of the squash, jalapeno, Swiss cheese, Knorr seasoning, butter, and truffle oil. All put in a Cuisinart and filled back in the hollow shell of the squash and topped with mozzarella cheese. Cook on 375 for 20 minutes. Delicious!
I served it with salmon. Cooked with butter, lemon, and Tony Chachere seasoning on 375 for 20 minutes!
I don't think Frank Sinatra can sing a bad song if he tried.
