Editor's Note: Today I am wearing dress shorts by Anthropologie, T-shirt from Ann Taylor, and Vince Camuto sandals.
I always get excited when my new Veranda comes! This article entitle "Lure of the Lake" exemplifies the easy breezy feeling of summer! Designer Colette van den Thillart transformed an ancestral cabin that she inherited in the Canadian Hinterland and made not only comfortable but used elegant fabric that still inspire peace and tranquility. I love her expression in the article "that we practice laziness when we are at the cabin. Laziness is a lost art." In the face pace life that we live now. Here are some of the highlights of the article.
What a beautiful peaceful setting!
I adore how she upholstered these Windsor chairs with the slip covered in marvic fabric and the reznick rug.
What a beautiful room to wake up too!
This living room and porch inspires you to relax and want to read a book!
I love these crystal glasses and the custom fabric on the tablecloth. The casual floral arrangement looked like it was picked from the garden and finishes off the casual elegant setting.
This kitchen is tiny but so well appointed. I love the architectural details. I love using what I call "useless chairs" for what I call accents in a room. This one has such sass!!
The Denmark inspired marbleized kitchen island and the door to outside I would love to duplicate and place over and over again.
This bedroom with the mix match floral and the casual quilt is so easy and comforting. I love the lamp shades on the bedside lamps.
They look like party dresses!
Love this painted chest and the architectural details over the windows!
What a dreamy dock to serve dinner on and enjoy life! Happy Summer!
Love these great quotes I found today!
Dinner last night was southwest chicken grilled in the oven on 375 for 25 mins served with zucchini seasoned with oregano oil, Slam Yo Mama seasoning and Swiss cheese. This was cooked in the same oven. Delicious!
I love the Eagles songs! They never get old!!
