Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a slip dress from the Royal Standard and patent leather pumps from Ann Taylor.
When I do a remold in a home I try to reuse the existing furniture or reupholster it. I love to re-purpose things throughout the house and have them land in a different spot. It makes it feel fresh and new and saves my client money. This money savings softens the blow of the expensive fabrics that I pick out. I am a bit of a fabric snob! Here are some examples of what I re-purpose in a remold that I completed last year.
The yellow print pillows use to live in the living room and landed perfectly in one of the daughter's bedrooms.
This fabric was a Lampass that was expensive and deserved to find a new home!
These chairs which are antique where in a warehouse. They needed reupholstering badly but the frame was great. We updated the frame by painting it and used this gorgeous print and trim to make them look new and sassy!
This Venetian Chandelier use to be above the dining room table. It is now adorning the ladies Master Bathroom.
This mirrored chest use to live in a guest room and now lives in the daughter's room. It replaces the desk she use to use in high school.
This display cabinet moved from one daughter's bathroom to the other daughter's bedroom.
This small bonnetiere use to live in the guest room bathroom and is now in a new guest room.
This darling marble top console use to live in the master bedroom and is now in the new powder room.
Love these quotes!
Last night for dinner I had bison burgers cooked with slap your mama seasoning and garlic oil cooked on 400 for 15 minutes. The side dish was grilled eggplant seasoned with chili oil, Tony Chachere seasoning, Swiss cheese and Parmesan cheese. Baked on 400 for 40 minutes. My son Harrison said that he liked the eggplant okay it was not as good as potatoes but would do! My kids are going to have to learn to eat my skinny Kay food and be happy!
This song will get you groovy no matter what mood you are in!
