Editor's Note: Today I am wearing dress shorts by Anthropologie, a lace blouse from Ann Taylor, and metallic heels by Coach.
May is the final culmination of the debutante season. There was a fabulous party Saturday night and we have one more to go to this coming Saturday. The party on Saturday night was Tajah Ma Ball theme and the decorations were colorful and beautiful and the party was an overall success! This beautiful invitation went out six weeks before the party with a reply card and the young people are dated by the social office. Sweet Kay Murphy does a fabulous job dating the kids and making sure that the party goes off perfectly! Melanie Tatum was the party planner for this party and did a wonderful job! I am sure these debs will remember this night as one of the best in their night.
The invitation was stunning!
Here I am trying to decide what I am going to wear. I am proud to say that I bought this dress 5 years ago and it use to be so tight that I felt like I had on a sausage roll! I recently had it taken in and it felt much pretty 25 lbs lighter! The diamond heart that I have on my pearls was my grandmothers and one that I cherish. My Chanel pearls that I have it attached to are one of my favorite accessories day and night.
Here is option 2! It is actually one of Riley's dresses that I tried on and I was amazed that it actually fit me
but I opted for the conservative pink one!
Here I am completely with up-do, sassy heels from Kate Spade, and ready to go! My dress is from Terri John.
Riley with her friends India and Stephen. I loved the dress that I bought for Riley. I bought it at Neimans. I thought she looked stunning!
Me with my Riley girl! I love her so!
Harrison gives me a quota of only 4 pictures per party and he was lucky that this time I only took one.
Here he is with one of his friends Max and one of Riley's sorority sisters Taylor.
The dance floor was beautiful and hoping!
The girls each had a cabana where they stood at the beginning of the party in their long dresses and gloves accompanied by their parents to greet people as they came to the party! The photographer was Mir Mir set up shop in one of the cabana after the girls were finished greeting the guests.
The partying table down stairs completely with beautiful Taj Mah Ball cookies and water bottles!
This was dinner from Friday night. Ground sirloin from Central Market seasoned with a Cajun seasoning that Harrison brought back from Baton Rouge. I cooked it on 400 for 20 minutes along with a jalapeno and cheese sausage. The salad was arugula, spinach, fresh mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, and french vinaigrette salad dressing!
I know these debs have had the best days of their lives!
