Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a Don Castor blouse, Ann Taylor white jeans, and Chanel pumps.
I love this article that made the cover of House Beautiful this month. I have always been a huge fan of blue and white. It is so crisp and clean and it works with any other color from neutral to bold. I loved to do collections of things in my clients homes--from porcelain to heroin to boxes to majolica. I love to find something that my client is passionate about or I try to find a collection for my client to become passionate about. I think collections of any sort make a powerful impact. I add to my clients collections when I travel buying from all over the world. My oldest assistant use to joke that I never went on vacation I just went to another city to go to work. My designer brain never turns off. I love the quote in the article from Designer Summer Thornton, "I do equate happiness with color." I attract a lot of clients who love color! Almost all my business is based on referrals so I guess my current clients have visited previous clients home which usually has a lot of color. I always do what is right for my client and some of my design work might be monotone depending on the client. I pride myself in that my client's home is a reflection of them and not me. Here are some highlights of this wonderful article on Interior Designer Summer Thornton's work.

Last night for dinner I had pork chop seasoned with oregano oil and slap your mama seasoning cooked on 400 for 20 minutes. The cauliflower souffle is my own recipe, I steam cauliflower put it in a Cuisinart and put it with truffle oil, butter, Tony Chachere seasoning with Swiss cheese and two eggs, I top it off with more Swiss cheese and bake on 400 for 30 minutes. The zucchini adds color. Delicious!
Such a romantic song!
