Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a dress by Opening Ceremony with Banana Republic kitten heels.
Last weekend we celebrated Riley's graduation from TCU. This weekend we are headed to Baton Rouge to celebrate Harrison's graduation from LSU. The festivities start Thursday night with a family dinner at Juban's which is one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge. My Aunt and Uncle Jack and Judy joined us for the festivities on Thursday night. Jack and Judy met at LSU and have been married for 50 years; they toured LSU campus with Harrison, Riley and me when both Riley and Harrison were considering LSU. They held hands the entire time they were walking the campus. It was so touching to see them reminiscing on their college days. Dinner conversation last night included lots of LSU stories from Jack, Judy, and Harrison. Today is Harrison's graduation and typical of Louisiana it is supposed to pour down rain..Oh Boy! Taking pictures will be a challenge but we will do it! Tonight I will be having fried oysters at Sammy's, which I also dream about and Saturday night another celebrator dinner at Galatoire's. I know a good time will be had my all and I hope to God that I do not gain 5 pounds! We will return home on Sunday full of love, pride, and lots of stories!
I bought this balloon at Target last weekend and it has been floating around the house all week. Shake Your Tassel!
Juban's not only has fabulous food but that atmopshere is incredbile!
On Friday night we will be at Sammy's. We discovered Sammy's Harrison's freshmen year at orientation. Parking is a real trick and the restaurant is always crowded. One tip that I learned that is to eat in the bar. If you don't mind tv's going you can sit right down.
I have never eaten at Galatorie's in Baton Rouge only at the one in the French Quarter in New Orleans. I am excited to experience this one!
I am hoping that Riley and Harrison will be fearless in their pursuit with happiness and their careers.
This soft shell crab is my favorite dish at Juban's. I ordered this last night for dinner! I dream about this dish all the time!
I am praying for all the tomorrows for my kids! The proud graduates to be fabulous!
