Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a dress from H&M, belt from Cole Hahn, and kitten heels from Ann Taylor.
When you have been a designer as long as I have---26 years! You get to do second and third homes. These vacation homes tend to take on a different personality than the many homes in the city. I got to do a job in Coconut Grove a few years ago that was so much fun from the fabrics to choosing the art. I had the privilege of going to Britto art gallery and got taken to a private room to choose the art for this house. Such a fun experience! Here are some of my favorite rooms in this wonderful Coconut Grove condo!
The drapery fabric from Brunschwig and Fils set the tone for the entire room. The colors I chose were tropical and lighthearted!
The art above the sectional was from a local Miami artist Gilda Sacasas.
The chairs are Scalamandre. The coffee table I had custom painted by Kerr Collection and
had matching footstools made to go underneath the table. The coral in this room exploded!
We included an executive study for the owner to work while he was in Miami. The orange was happy and powerful!
This is the sitting room off of the Master. A wonderful retreat complete with a tv and a beautiful view.
A great place to get away from the grandchildren.
The dining room with a piece of Britto art that we chose from the gallery.
Gilda Sacasas custom painted this for the owners. It is suppose to mimic them tangoing!
A custom chest from Kerr Collection and another wonderful piece of Britto art!
Last night for dinner I had leftover flank steak with a side salad including apple, walnuts, and cheese.
One of my favorite Sergio Mendes songs!
