Oh Boy! At 4:35 this morning there was a big boom and the electricity went out. I laid their in bed wondering how I was going to fix breakfast and get out of the house since the garage door was down. Starbucks went through my head but that would require getting out of the garage door so that was out. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am a determined creature and that I will always find a way. Since everything in our kitchen is electric I had to be very creative. Hot Dog I am making a fire on the grill! So thank goodness I had charcoal and at 6:45 I went at it. Here is the progression of my al fresco dining! Little house on the prairie "ain't got nothing on me."
I had to brush my hair by candlelight in the bathroom.
We live in a mid-century house and I know they are not in Vogue anymore but I love my medicine cabinet on the wall.

Being the prissy person that I am I did not want to clean the bottom of the tea pot and pan so I put foil down.

Oops! Burned the first round of toast. We saved these pieces for Lacie Rue and Pax!
Voila! My al fresco dining table on a beautiful 61 degree morning!
I was impressed with myself that I cooked my egg to perfection!
