Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a vintage silk top by Krizia, Ann Taylor jeans, and Taryn Rose shoes.
One of the things that I do to bring joy into my life is to be surrounded by flowers. I love orchids in my bedroom because they last for up to three months. I actually keep them with their dormant and let them spike again. I move them from a dormant spot to a significant spot once they are blooming. I am queen of knowing where to buy orchids at the best price and Central Market wins the prize. They receive their orchids at the beginning of the week and they are always fresh and they always last. The double spikes are the same prices as the single spikes which is always a bonus. I have been having fresh roses on the breakfast table and the kitchen for 6 months now and it really adds joy to my morning and my evening meal. For $10/$15 you can add such elegance to your surroundings. Our back covered patio is very visible from the breakfast table and I love in the Spring/Summer looking out at gorgeous flowers on the back porch. Flowers put a song in my heart every day!
A variety of orchids on my desk in the bedroom. I love this statue from Rodin.
My dressing table. These tiny orchids from Central Market they don't have all the time but I always grab them when they have them!
An orchid on top of my jewelry case in my bathroom.
My wonderful roses in the kitchen. This table cloth I used for Design Inspirations last year and now get to enjoy it every day.
This fabric is from Sanderson.
Little spot of color on the backgammon table in the living room.
Our outdoor dining.
A wonderful white moment.
I love the hot pink against the fresh green!
Hanging baskets are so easy to buy. They are already fully developed and add a thick spark of color!
Dinner on Saturday was Tilapia and broccoli. Prep time was 5 mins and cooking time was 20 mins.
All I do to my Tilapia is use fresh lemon, butter, and Tony Chachere seasoning. The broccoli I stem in chicken broth. Easy and delicious!
We watched Sleepless in Seattle on Saturday night. The song at the end is a tear jerkier.
