Editor's Note: Today I am wearing Giorgio Armani dress and Vince Camuto bejeweled sandals.
There has been a long tradition in Texas of girls making their debut. The Steeplechase club in Fort Worth celebrated its 100 year in 2013. I was a Steeplechase Deb in 1980 and Riley followed suit in 2014. In 2013, Riley was a Duchess in the Texas Rose Festival in Tyler, Texas. The whole experience is incredibly fun and very princess like. I will never forget my experiences and Riley's had a ball at both of hers! Here are some pictures of my debut in 1980, Texas Rose Festival 2013, Steeplechase 2014, and Fiesta in San Antonio 2016. Riley's friend Chandler is in Fiesta which is in full swing this week!

Assembly ball November of 1980. My dress was custom made by a tailor in Dallas name Cletus.
It even had my name embroidery in the waist band of the dress.
Riley and Chandler finishing their hair and makeup at Texas Rose Festival. Riley was fashioned after Marie Antoinette.
Riley Tri-Delt sisters who came for the festival. Riley wore my gloves my gloves from Steeplechase from 1980 which was so special for me!
These little twins told Riley she was the most beautiful princess that they had ever seen!

My dinner last night at River Crest.. I splurged and ordered the battered fried vegetables!
I only ate half of the order but needless to say it was delicious!
I love all of Lionel Richie's music. This one is so sweet!
